French first lady shoves President Macron in face during Vietnam arrival
French first lady Brigitte Macron was seen shoving her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, in the face while the couple was waiting to disembark their plane in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Video of the incident showed a uniformed man opening the plane door as Macron was seen wearing a suit and standing in the doorway. Brigitte Macron’s arms – in red sleeves – could be seen reaching out and pushing Macron away, with one hand covering his mouth and part of his nose while the other was on his jaw. The French president turned his head away but suddenly noticed news cameras capturing the moment. He quickly smiled and waved before exiting the door frame.
Macron and his wife later disembarked the stairs of the aircraft together. The French president offered his arm, though the first lady – seen wearing a red blazer – did not take hold of it.
NETANYAHU ACCUSES THE UK, FRANCE AND CANADA OF ‘ENABLING HAMAS’
As the clip, recorded by The Associated Press, quickly went viral, Macron said that he and his wife were play-fighting.
The headline of a story on the website of the daily Le Parisien newspaper asked, “Slap or ‘squabble’? The images of Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron disembarking in Vietnam trigger a lot of comment.”
Macron told reporters that the couple — who met at a French high school where he was a teenage student, and she was a roughly 39-year-old married teacher — were simply joking around. Emmanuel was 29 when he married Brigitte in 2007.
“We are squabbling and, rather, joking with my wife,” he said, according to the AP, adding that the incident was being overblown into “a sort of geo-planetary catastrophe.”
The French leader argued that the images and reaction to them offered a cautionary tale about disinformation in the social media age.
MOCKING HIM AS ‘MICRON,’ RUSSIA WARNS MACRON AGAINST MAKING NUCLEAR ‘THREATS’
“Everyone needs to calm down,” he said.
Macron’s office also downplayed the interaction.
“It was a moment where the president and his wife were decompressing one last time before the start of the trip by horsing around. It’s a moment of complicity. It was all that was needed to give ammunition to the conspiracy theorists,” his office said, according to the AP.
Macron’s office also reportedly told CNN that the clip showed a “moment of togetherness,” and that the French president and his wife were unwinding after a long trip and playfully teasing each other.

Clinton attacks Republican women and forgets her own hypocritical behavior
Hillary Clinton is back and doing what she does best: trashing women. She wants to make sure we know that the basket of deplorables is also sexist.
During a conversation at the 92nd Street Y in New York City last month, Clinton was asked by Margaret Hoover, host of “Firing Line” on PBS, if she had any advice for the eventual first female president of the United States.
Clinton took this opportunity to take a swipe at Republican women. “Well, first of all, don’t be a handmaiden to the patriarchy, which kind of eliminates every woman on the other side of the aisle, except for very few.”
HILLARY CLINTON BASHES REPUBLICAN WOMEN, SAYS GOP FEMALE PRESIDENT WOULD BE ‘HANDMAIDEN TO THE PATRIARCHY’
Most Republican women are just “handmaidens to the patriarchy,” just there to support the men, according to her. Would Hillary Clinton ever do such a thing?
Clinton first rose to prominence because her husband was governor of Arkansas and then president of the United States. On his coattails she later became a U.S. senator from New York. After she ran for president and lost the nomination to Barack Obama, she was appointed Secretary of State, yes, by a man.
While president, Bill Clinton carried on an affair with a White House intern and then lied about it under oath. He was impeached by the House of Representatives for perjury and obstructing justice.
During the time that he engaged in this cover-up, his wife Hillary was out in front lambasting Republicans for daring to challenge her husband. She coined the phrase “vast rightwing conspiracy” to wave away the charges against him.
In later years Hillary denied that Bill’s relationship with Monica was an abuse of power since Monica was “an adult,” despite the fact that he was leader of the free world and she was a recent college graduate doing an internship.
BILL CLINTON PREDICTS THAT USA IS LIKELIER TO ELECT A FEMALE IF SHE’S ‘A CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN WOMAN’
This wasn’t the only time Hillary Clinton snuggled right up to the patriarchy. When Bill Clinton was running for president in 1992, he was dogged by accusations he had had a longtime affair with Gennifer Flowers. Hillary Clinton, no girl’s girl, denied that her husband would do such a thing and added “You know, I’m not sitting here, some little woman standing by my man like Tammy Wynette.” It wasn’t enough to defend her husband. Hillary had to take a shot at women who made the same choice she would end up making, to stand by her man. Criticizing other women to defend a man, is there anything more patriarchal?
Her husband wasn’t the only man Hillary Clinton would protect and defend in this way. In a New York Times story after Harvey Weinstein was exposed as a sexual predator, two well-known women said that they warned Hillary Clinton’s team about her close relationship with Weinstein.

Actress Lena Dunham and magazine publisher Tina Brown both made explicit warnings about Weinstein to Hillary Clinton’s team during both of her presidential races. After the accusations against Weinstein became public, Hillary’s team issued a statement hitting back at Dunham specifically for contacting them instead of going to authorities, noting “Only she can answer why she would tell them instead of those who could stop him.”
Some champion of women.

Hillary doesn’t like when women won’t do as they are told. In 2018, still bitter over her drubbing in the 2016 presidential election by Donald Trump, Clinton said women who didn’t vote for her were just doing the bidding of the men in their lives. “We do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton said. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.” It couldn’t be that women had considered her candidacy and found it wanting. According to her, it must be that men had told these women how to vote.
Hillary always took swipes at women so her latest comments are nothing new. The eventual female president should consider not using women as a punching bag to attain her goals. Thankfully, that president won’t be Hillary Clinton.

Trump fires off Memorial Day message to those seeking to ‘DESTROY’ United States
President Donald Trump issued one of his signature spicy holiday greetings on Memorial Day.
The president, who posted the all-caps tirade on Monday morning, called out the “SCUM” who he said had attempted to destroy the nation.
“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS, WHO ALLOWED 21,000,000 MILLION PEOPLE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER OUR COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM BEING CRIMINALS AND THE MENTALLY INSANE, THROUGH AN OPEN BORDER THAT ONLY AN INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WOULD APPROVE, AND THROUGH JUDGES WHO ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP MURDERERS, DRUG DEALERS, RAPISTS, GANG MEMBERS, AND RELEASED PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, IN OUR COUNTRY SO THEY CAN ROB, MURDER, AND RAPE AGAIN — ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY,” he declared in the first portion of the post.
TRUMP SAYS HE’S ‘NOT HAPPY’ WITH PUTIN AFTER MASSIVE UKRAINE STRIKE
Trump, who took office a little more than four months ago, asserted that significant progress has been made.
He also appeared to refer to some judges as “MONSTERS.”
AMERICANS SHOULD HONOR MEMORIAL DAY IN THIS WAY, MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS SUGGEST
“HOPEFULLY THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT, AND OTHER GOOD AND COMPASSIONATE JUDGES THROUGHOUT THE LAND, WILL SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL. BUT FEAR NOT, WE HAVE MADE GREAT PROGRESS OVER THE LAST 4 MONTHS, AND AMERICA WILL SOON BE SAFE AND GREAT AGAIN! AGAIN, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he declared.
The president has been frustrated as aspects of his agenda have been hampered amid legal wranglings.

Air traffic controller crisis prompts Transportation Sec to offer incentives
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said a key to alleviating the shortage of air traffic workers is offering retirees a bonus to incentivize them to stay in the workforce longer.
In an interview with CBS News, Duffy said that it is going to take time to boost the air traffic controller workforce, but a key piece in doing so is keeping the more experienced controllers in the field longer.
“I think what is key, we have offered a bonus to air traffic controllers who are eligible to retire. We are going to pay them 20% bonus on their salary to stay longer. Don’t retire,” Duffy continued. “So as we bring more air traffic controllers in, and keep the older, experienced controllers, we’re going to be able to make up that difference.”
FAA, DOT LAY OUT PLAN TO IMPROVE OPERATIONS AT NEWARK AIRPORT
However, Duffy noted that it will take months, if not years, to resolve the shortage.
The air traffic control system has been under immense pressure for years given the persisting staffing shortages, outdated technology and underinvestment in critical infrastructure.
In February, Duffy pledged to tackle these issues with a new package of actions to “supercharge the air traffic controller workforce.”
His announcement came in the wake of the midair collision between American Eagle Flight 5342 and an Army helicopter on Jan. 29 that left all the plane’s 64 passengers and crew, and the helicopter’s three personnel dead.
NEWARK AIRPORT ‘ONE OF MANY VOLCANOES WAITING TO ERUPT,’ PILOT SAYS
The system’s vulnerabilities have drawn renewed scrutiny in recent weeks after Newark Liberty International Airport, one of the busiest in the nation, experienced back-to-back air traffic control outages.
Earlier this month, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it was installing more Tower Simulation Systems across the nation so it could certify air traffic controllers faster while reducing costs. These systems allow controllers to train for complex airport configurations, develop scenarios that address safety trends, practice runway crossing coordination and rehearse phraseology, according to the FAA.
This is in addition to other steps Duffy said he is taking to accelerate hiring in the field. For one, he is trying to expand opportunities for veteran military controllers, expanding the list of qualified facilities and offering financial incentives to graduates and new hires who have reached key training milestones.
The FAA also plans to reward academy graduates who are assigned to hard-to-staff facilities and reduce wait times for top candidates, who in some cases are waiting at least a year, for routine medical and security clearances.

It is also expanding the number of instructors and establishing a Learning Center at the Air Traffic Controller Academy in Oklahoma City. Duffy also streamlined hiring by changing the old eight-step hiring process at the FAA to a five-step process.
Duffy and acting Administrator Chris Rocheleau also issued plans to implement immediately to improve operations at Newark following the back-to-back outages.
Kīlauea volcano erupts with lava fountains reaching 1,000 feet over weekend
Kīlauea Volcano – located along the southeastern shore of Hawaii Island – experienced “lava fountaining” that reached at least 1,000 feet high over the weekend.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) describes Kīlauea as one of the world’s most active volcanoes. It has been erupting intermittently since Dec. 23, 2024, within the summit caldera in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
The 23rd episode of precursory activity began late last week with “low-level spattering and flames.” According to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, small lava fountains and lava overflows from the north vent started around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
HAWAIIAN AIRLINES FLIGHT DIVERTED ON SAN DIEGO TARMAC OVER POSSIBLE BOMB THREAT; PERSON ARRESTED
“Sustained fountaining expected any time through the weekend,” Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park Service wrote.
The USGS reports that Kīlauea “is in a unique phase of activity in Halemaʻumaʻu, with numerous episodes of dual lava fountains since the eruption began.”
UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT RETURNS TO HAWAII AFTER CONCERNING MESSAGE FOUND ON BATHROOM MIRROR; FBI INVESTIGATING
“Two eruptive vents are located in the southwest part of the caldera, referred to as the north and south vent, and they have been intermittently active, producing new lava flows over parts of Halemaʻumaʻu crater surface,” according to the USGS.
As of 5:20 p.m. local time on Sunday, the south vent had lava fountains 230 feet high, while the north vent had lava fountains 1,000 feet high, according to Hawaii News Now.
USGS livestreams of the eruption site showed the lava fountains dropping in height and later stopping. The vents were still glowing and lava was still visibile on the crater floor.
The volcano’s last “fountaining phase” extended for about 10 hours on May 16, according to the USGS.
Kīlauea experienced other recent fountaining phases this month on May 11, May 6 and May 2, lasting eight hours, 4.5 hours and eight hours, respectively.

During the ongoing eruption, the USGS reported that pressure building beneath the surface caused an inflationary tilt prior to a lava fountaining episode.
As pressure within the magma is released when lava fountaining begins, a switch to a deflationary tilt occurs. That pattern of inflation and deflation with every recent lava fountain episode “creates a saw-tooth pattern in ground tilt records over the past several months,” according to the USGS, though the government agency reports that the summit has shown little net change in pressurization since the eruption began on Dec. 23, 2024.
Researchers find ‘something extraordinary’ while searching for Noah’s Ark remains
A group of international researchers say they’re getting closer and closer to identifying the possible remains of Noah’s Ark – and new test results are promising.
The focus of the research, the Durupinar site in eastern Turkey, was first identified in the 1950s.
For decades, it’s been speculated that the boat-shaped site once harbored Noah’s Ark, but no definitive proof has emerged. Now, an organization called Noah’s Ark Scans believes that recent soil samples point toward the site once housing “ancient wood.” (See the video at the top of this article.)
ARCHAEOLOGISTS MAKE GRIM DISCOVERY AFTER FINDING ANCIENT ROMAN BUILDINGS
Researchers collected soil samples from the site last September and analyzed them through this winter. The results “show significantly higher levels of organic matter and potassium compared to surrounding areas,” according to a recent statement from the organization.
“[The results] provide compelling evidence of a unique, potentially man-made structure beneath the surface, distinct from the surrounding mudflow,” Noah’s Ark Scans said.
“These findings suggest the presence of decayed wood or other organic materials, consistent with a large, ancient structure preserved within the mudflow,” the statement added.
Lead archaeological researcher Andrew Jones told Fox News Digital that researchers are registering 2.72 times more carbon inside the “boat-shaped object” compared to its immediate outside location.
“The soil composition is markedly different from the natural mudflow, indicating something extraordinary at this site.”
“The rotting ancient wood inside the boat-shaped area is likely creating a localized soil microenvironment by lowering pH … increasing organic matter [and] elevating potassium,” he said.
ANCIENT JEWISH RITUAL BATH, OLDEST OF ITS KIND IN EUROPE, UNCOVERED BY ARCHAEOLOGISTS
“Rotting wood directly contributes to soil organic matter,” he added.
“As wood decomposes, it breaks down into humus, a stable form of organic matter rich in carbon. This increases the organic matter content in the soil where the wood is located.”
In a statement, soil scientist William Crabtree said the results indicate “something extraordinary.”
“The soil composition is markedly different from the natural mudflow, indicating something extraordinary at this site,” Crabtree stated.
But not all proof of the hypothesis is scientific. The 515-foot-long formation “aligns exactly with the biblical dimensions of Noah’s Ark,” according to Noah’s Ark Scans.
“Unlike the surrounding volcanic mudflow, the site’s unique soil and subsurface anomalies set it apart,” the project noted.
The research builds on previous 3-D ground penetrating radar scans from 2019 that “struck subsurface features,” and found anomalies.
“The scans show a 234-foot central corridor and angular structures – potentially rooms or corridors – extending up to 20 feet deep,” the project noted in a statement. “These right-angled formations, uncommon in natural geological processes, suggest intentional design. “
Jones said the “presence of hallways and room-like structures points to a man-made origin for the boat shape.”
“The re-analysis confirms what we suspected: These are not random shapes in the mudflow,” Jones said.

Though no excavations are planned this year, Jones told Fox News Digital the analysis of the site will continue, with additional geophysical surveys and possible core drilling slated for next year.
“We are focused on more non-destructive techniques to understand what’s below the ground and more soil analysis as well,” Jones said.
The expert added, “Our plan is to do a much larger soil test and take deeper samples from the ground.”

Police search residence for New Orleans jailbreak escapee, make five arrests
Police made five more arrests in connection with a prison break in New Orleans this weekend, Fox News has learned.
The five arrests make a total of 12 people who have been accused of helping the inmates either before, during or after their escape from the New Orleans Jail last week.
The arrests include 28-year-old Lenika Vanburen, 18-year-old Patricia Vanburen, 27-year-old Tyshanea “Minnie” Randolph, 47-year-old Lenton Vanburen Sr., and 40-year-old Angel McKey. A source confirmed to Fox News that Vanburen Sr. is the father of one of the escaped inmates, Lenton Vanburen Jr.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in New Orleans’ 7th District in hopes to find the fugitive Vanburen, but he was not there.

The five individuals arrested this weekend were accused of specifically assisting the younger Vanburen in evading the police.
LOUISIANA POLICE ARREST THIRD ACCOMPLICE IN ORLEANS PARISH JAILBREAK
The arrests come days after police apprehended another suspect accused of helping inmates on Friday. Police say Emmitt Weber, 28, helped two of the inmates after the jailbreak at the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility.
As of Sunday, five of the 10 escaped inmates remain at large.
The most recent arrest was made when Corey Boyd was taken into custody Tuesday.
The other inmates recaptured are Kendell Myles, Robert Moody, Dkenan Dennis and Gary Price.
Two others — Casey Smith and Cortnie Harris — have been arrested for allegedly aiding the escapees. Another woman, Connie Weeden, 59, allegedly gave cash to Donald via a cellphone app.
She is charged with one felony count of accessory after the fact.
The following fugitives are still at large:
- Vanburen Jr., 27, faces charges of illegal carrying of weapons, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon, obstruction of justice and introducing contraband in prison.
