General Situation
The ridge of high pressure over southeastern China brought a strong easterly airstream to the coast of southern China today. Showers associated with a broad trough of low pressure also affected the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, it was cloudy with occasional rain. Around 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Hong Kong Island, Kowloon East and Sai Kung District. The strong easterly airstream will continue to affect the coast of southern China tomorrow. The broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the northern part of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. The area of low pressure to the east of Hainan Island will move eastwards across the northern part of the South China Sea.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Temperatures will range between 23 and 26 degrees. Fresh easterly winds, strong offshore and on high ground.
Hot with a few showers on Sunday and Monday. The weather will become unsettled in the following couple of days.

2. Those planning for water sports activities and operations at sea should take special care against high winds and rough sea conditions. Conditions are particularly rough over the offshore waters.
