President Trump cuts global summit short after ‘evacuate Tehran’ message

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

President Donald Trump decided to cut his trip with the G7 short on Monday shortly after he said on his social media platform Truth Social that “everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

In addition to Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was also in Alberta, Canada, this week for the G7 conference, will be cutting his trip short as well, Fox News has learned.

“I have to be back,” Trump said during a ceremonial photo-op with the other world leaders present at the G7 summit on Monday. “You probably see what I see. And I have to be back as soon as I can.”

The president’s comments came amid confirmation from the White House that he would be cutting the trip short “because of what’s going on in the Middle East.” Trump, meanwhile, has requested his National Security Council be prepared for his return, Fox News learned.

Trump’s change of plans also comes after he sent a message on his Truth Social platform to “everyone” in Iran, telling them they should “evacuate.”

Following the president’s post, videos purportedly showing Iranians evacuating their capital city have begun surfacing on social media.

Officials familiar with the ongoing situation said that the United States is not striking Iran and remains in a defensive posture amid the president’s comments.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told Fox News before heading to the situation room Monday night that the U.S. remains “postured defensively.”

“What you’re watching in real time is peace through strength and America first. Our job is to be strong. We are postured defensively in the region to be strong in pursuit of a peace deal,” Hegseth told Fox News’ Jesse Waters Monday night.

“My job as the Secretary of Defense is to ensure that our people are safe and that we’re strong so that we can set the conditions for a deal. And President Trump’s made it clear it’s on the table. The question is whether Iran will take it.”

Illegal immigrant makes crucial admission while getting arrested by ICE

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says an illegal immigrant with a past robbery conviction, and who was previously arrested on murder and assault charges, was arrested after spitting on an agent last Tuesday.

Omar Pulido Bastida, 41, is facing a federal assault charge for allegedly spitting on an ICE agent while they were trying to arrest him for illegally returning to the United States, as he’s been deported before.

“Despite the Los Angeles riots, ICE law enforcement officers arrested Omar Pulido-Bastida. This criminal illegal alien has been convicted of robbery and has arrests for murder and assault,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital about the Mexican national.

FEDERAL AGENTS CAPTURE ALIEN ACCUSED OF RAPE, ASSAULT WHILE LA POLITICIANS CONDEMN ICE OPERATIONS

“This is the type of criminal illegal alien that rioters are fighting to protect. How much longer will Governor Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass continue to prioritize these criminal illegal aliens over their own citizens? Secretary Noem has a message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down. ICE will continue to enforce the law and arrest criminal illegal aliens,” McLaughlin continued.

Pulido Bastida resides in South Central Los Angeles, and he could face eight years behind bars if convicted of assault.

“This defendant found out the hard way: When you spit, we hit – with a felony charge,” U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said in a statement last week. “Law enforcement officers risk their lives and safety to uphold the law. To treat them with the disrespect, like this defendant did, mocks our great nation and such behavior will be punished accordingly.”

ICE RAMPS UP ARRESTS OF CONVICTED CRIMINALS AS RIOTS RAGE IN BLUE CITY: ‘YOU WILL NOT STOP US’

The Department of Justice alleges the man first insulted an ICE officer from his balcony before coming down and spitting on an agent through a gate, saying just before that, “No, get out of here. I know my rights. I’m calling my lawyer.” After that, ICE then “forced entry” into his home and arrested the man, who was hiding and said, “OK, you got me,” before his arrest, the news release added.

Fox News Digital reached out to Newsom’s office. Bass’s office pointed Fox News Digital to a quote from her press conference last week.

“These aren’t the criminals the administration is allegedly targeting,” Bass said. “These are mothers and fathers, restaurant workers, seamstresses, home care workers, everyday Angelenos trying to make a living. We’ve heard stories of unmarked federal vans parked near LAUSD school graduations, a U.S. citizen nine months pregnant who was hospitalized after being detained by federal agents, and an apparel business in downtown L.A. raided, where many Korean and Latino workers work long hours to support their families.”

The arrest announcement comes after anti-ICE protests and riots broke out in Los Angeles last week as the agency did sweeps throughout the region. On Sunday night, President Donald Trump posted to Truth Social that he wanted to see arrests ramped up further to “achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

“His plan is clear: Incite violence and chaos in blue states, have an excuse to militarize our cities, demonize his opponents, keep breaking the law and consolidate power. It’s illegal and we will not let it stand,” Newsom posted to X in direct response to Trump’s post.

Former Coast Guard lieutenant arrested for threats to President Trump

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A former Coast Guard lieutenant was recently arrested for allegedly making threats to kill President Donald Trump, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.

The suspect, Virginia resident Peter Stinson, served as an officer in the United States Coast Guard from 1988 to 2021. He was a sharpshooter as well as a FEMA instructor during that time.

In an affidavit filed on Friday, a task force officer from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealed details about the myriad of online threats that Stinson allegedly made.

In one instance, Stinson reportedly wrote that Trump needed to be “[L]uigied,” on May 9. The post was a reference to Luigi Mangione, who is accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson last year.

Stinson allegedly made graphic threats aginst Trump involving guns, poisoning and even knives on multiple social media platforms.

Stinson also allegedly referenced “not having the necessary skills,” to successfully complete an assassination, but also eerily suggested that he wasn’t being entirely truthful.

FEDERAL GRAND JURY INDICTS MAN FOR THREATENING TO ASSASSINATE TRUMP AFTER REELECTION

The document also alleges that Stinson made several references to 8647, which government officials say “is likely in reference to an Instagram post made by former FBI Director James Comey.”

“The post by Comey was interpreted in the news media as a violent threat to President Trump and prompted an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Secret Service. STINSON has since made 13 additional posts on Bluesky including the text, ‘8647’,” the document states.

The affidavit also alleges that Stinson “has self-identified as a member of ANTIFA.”

On Feb. 2, Stinson allegedly posted on his X account, “Sure. This is war. Sides will be drawn. Antifa always wins in the end. Violence is inherently necessary.”

The most recent post referenced in the document was published on BlueSky on June 11, when Stinson allegedly wrote, “When he dies, the party is going to be yuge.”

Chick-fil-A fans ‘shocked’ by controversial cup change sparking customer outrage

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Some Reddit users are calling out a beloved fast-food chain over a change in the cups for their beverages.

A user on the Chick-fil-A forum on Reddit posted a photo of a paper cup in front of a takeout bag.

“I’m fine with the fries change, but taking away the Styrofoam cup? This feels gross,” says the title of the post.

REDDIT USERS ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR CHICK-FIL-A SAUCE PACKET EXPERIENCES

Fox News Digital reached out to Chick-fil-A for comment.

The post garnered hundreds of reactions, with customers weighing in on the Styrofoam vs. paper cup debate.

“CFA usually uses Styrofoam cups unless there is a local or state law that prohibits them from doing so,” wrote one user.

“Styrofoam bans are getting increasingly more common.”

Another user commented, “The paper cup sucks but nothing worse than the paper straws.”

Said a different Redditor, “I understand if it’s better for the environment. I just reeaaallly wish we could find a similar alternative, because Styrofoam really does keep that ice from melting nearly as fast.”

One user wrote, “I personally dislike the Styrofoam cups. Whenever I have them, I wonder if a loose small piece of Styrofoam is floating around in my drink.”

“If it bothers you so much, you can always keep a Yeti mug in your car and transfer your drink to that.”

“Honestly, this is one hill I really don’t care to die on. If it bothers you so much, you can always keep a Yeti mug in your car and transfer your drink to that,” advised one user.

Another Redditor said the Styrofoam cups “suck” and wished Chick-fil-A would “switch nationwide.”

One person agreed, writing, “Styrofoam is a much better material for cups. It’s insulated so your hand doesn’t get cold and wet while holding it.”

“I’m shocked that people would miss the Styrofoam cup,” one person wrote.

“Do you like eating plastic[?]” the person added.

One customer wrote, “They just made this change at my CFA in Virginia. I did a double take.”

“Styrofoam isn’t biodegradable, so the cups from Chick-fil-A you got as a kid, well, they’re still sitting there! Not going anywhere, just piling up more and more,” commented a Redditor.

Styrofoam cups are made from polystyrene. Twelve states have banned polystyrene foam, which may be the reason for the switch to paper cups.

Justin Bieber makes emotional confession after paparazzi confrontation

Justin Bieber took to social media to discuss his healing process and “anger issues” after another confrontation with paparazzi.

“People keep telling me to heal,” Bieber wrote Monday. “Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already? I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues. I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and more angry. The harder I try to grow. The more focussed [sic] on myself I am.

He continued: “Jesus is the only person who keeps me wanting to make my life about others. Because honestly I’m exhausted with thinking about myself lately aren’t you?”

Bieber, 31, was spotted at the beach by paparazzi. He was seen telling the people with cameras to leave him alone. Fox News Digital reached out to Bieber’s representative for comment.

The “Never Say Never” singer previously pleaded with paparazzi to leave him alone in a video shared to his Instagram in April.

“Look at these guys, man,” Bieber repeatedly said while videoing.

“This has to stop,” the “One Time” singer wrote in his caption.

Throughout the video, fans can hear the back-and-forth between Bieber’s entourage and photographers.

“Guys, can you back up please?” someone asked, before a photographer replied with, “You’re filming me?”

“You guys done?” another person asked the photographers.

“Got your shots, go,” the man added, encouraging the photographers to be on their way.

Bieber is no stranger to paparazzi and has been dealing with an intense level of scrutiny since his meteoric rise to fame began in 2009.

The musician was first discovered after posting covers to YouTube. His viral fame led to the release of his first album, “My World,” which featured the hit singles “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl.”

At the time, Bieber was 16 years old.

Amid recent speculation, Bieber’s team told TMZ that concerns about Bieber’s mental and physical health are “exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”

His team added that he is focused on being a father to his son, Jack, and producing new music. Hailey and Justin welcomed their first child in August.

Despite rumors of a rocky spot in the pop star’s marriage to Hailey, a source told People in April that Bieber is having fun with his wife’s support.

“Hailey is not on the verge of wanting a divorce or leaving him. It’s just completely untrue,” the insider told the outlet. “If anything, she’s sad about how hard everyone is being on him now that he finally is coming back out of his shell.”

Canadian PM Carney cuts off Trump’s press questions ahead of G7 summit

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney cut off questioning to President Donald Trump, taking back a few minutes of time from reporters ahead of the start of the G7 summit.

Trump answered several questions about Russia’s dismissal from what was previously known as the G8 under former President Barack Obama and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s leadership, as well as the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. The last question Trump responded to focused on a social media post of his in which he called for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to expand efforts to detain and deport illegal immigrants in America’s largest cities, such as Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.

“Biden allowed 21 million people to come into our country,” Trump said. “The vast numbers of those people and murderers, killers, people from gangs, people from jails, they emptied their jails out into the U.S. Most of those people are in the cities, all blue cities, all Democrat-run cities, and they think they’re going to use them to vote. It’s not going to happen.”

Receiving a nod of approval from Trump, Carney then cut the session off early.

“If you don’t mind,” Carney said, “I’m going to exercise my role if you will as G7 chair, since we have a few more minutes with the president and his team, and then we actually have to start the meeting to address some of the big issues. So thank you.”

Trump had reminded reporters that the G7 summit used to be the G8 until Obama and Trudeau pushed out Russia. Russia’s membership was suspended following the 2014 annexation of Crimea.

“That was a mistake because I think you wouldn’t have a war right now if you had Russia, and you wouldn’t have a war right now if Trump were president four years ago,” Trump told reporters. “But it didn’t work out that way.”

“It was a mistake in that you spend so much time talking about Russia. He’s no longer at the table, so it makes life more complicated,” Trump said of Russian President Vladimir Putin. “But you wouldn’t have had the war. And, other than that, I think we’re going to accomplish a lot, and I expect to, and I think our primary focus would be trade and trade with Canada, and I’m sure we can work something out.”

When asked what was holding up a trade deal with Canada, Trump told reporters, “I’m a tariff person, I’ve always been a tariff person.” He said Carney “has a more complex idea, but also very good,” looking forward to negotiations during the summit.

Trump also said he has received messages signaling Iran wants to de-escalate the conflict with Israel.

“They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before. I had 60 days … and on the 61st day I said, we don’t have a deal. They have to make a deal. And it’s painful for both parties,” Trump said. “But I’d say Iran is not winning this war. And they should talk, and they should talk immediately before it’s too late.”

USS NIMITZ CARRIER STRIKE GROUP SAILING TOWARD MIDDLE EAST AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, US OFFICIAL SAYS

When asked what it would take for the U.S. to get involved in the conflict militarily, Trump responded, “I don’t want to talk about that.”

Trump further addressed the fallout of nixing Russia from the summit. Other than the U.S. and Canada, the remaining G7 countries are the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.

“Putin speaks to me, he doesn’t speak to anybody else. He doesn’t want to talk because he was very insulted when he got thrown out of the G8, as I would be, as you would be, as anybody would be, is very insulting,” Trump said.

Trump, however, suggested it might be too late to include Russia now, given Putin’s 2022 large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“I’m not saying he should at this point, because too much water has gone over the dam, maybe,” Trump said. “But, it was a big mistake. Obama didn’t want them and the head of your country, the proud head of your country, didn’t want him. This was a big mistake. You wouldn’t have that war.”

Former WNBA star says she’s ‘never seen this before’ after Clark’s return

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Caitlin Clark put the rest of the WNBA on notice as she returned to the Indiana Fever lineup with a vengeance and upended the New York Liberty’s undefeated streak on Saturday night.

Clark’s 32-point victory in the 102-88 win gave Indiana its fifth win of the season. Clark made seven 3-pointers, including three in a 38-second span that even shocked former Liberty star Rebecca Lobo.

The Basketball Hall of Famer talked about Clark’s performance and what she means to WNBA viewership as the league saw numbers dwindle a bit in her absence.

“It means a lot more people are paying attention once again,” Lobo said Monday on ESPN’s “First Take,” via Awful Announcing. “We know how much Caitlin drives ratings. We know how much Caitlin drives attention on the WNBA. For her to come back and do it in that way was just ridiculous.

“I’m sitting there at the end of the first quarter when she had that 38-second stretch where she drained deep three after deep three after deep three. I was just sitting there thinking, I’ve been around this league since 1997. I have never seen that in a WNBA game. Have we seen players go on runs? Of course, we have, but not like that, not where a couple of the 3-pointers are from 30-plus feet.”

CAITLIN CLARK RETURNS FROM INJURY WITH A VENGEANCE; LIBERTY’S PERFECT RECORD FALLS

The Fever pointed out just how deep Clark’s range was.

Three of her 3-pointers came from beyond 30 feet. She hit the rest from at least 26 feet. The WNBA 3-point line is 22 feet away from the basket.

“It was an exhibition by her after being out for 19 days to recover from an injury,” Lobo added. “Couple that with the other passes that she made and some of the other plays, it was just ridiculous. It’s not often that you’re watching the WNBA, or that I’m watching it, and I’m like, ‘Wow, I’ve just never seen this before.’”

Maher slams Penn’s hypocrisy for criticizing Trump dinner after meeting dictators

HBO host Bill Maher accused actor Sean Penn of being a hypocrite this week after the actor slammed the comedian’s meeting with President Donald Trump.

During the latest episode of Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, the comedian and political commentator called out Penn’s meetings with world dictators when the actor pointed out that he wouldn’t have gone to dinner with Trump like Maher had.

“Really, you meet with f—ing Castro and Hugo Chavez, but not the President of the United States?” Maher asked.

The disagreement came while the two discussed Maher’s meeting with the president at the White House in April. Maher has maintained that the meeting with Trump was “gracious and measured” and suggested the president was a different man in private than he appears on camera.

BILL MAHER DECLARES HIMSELF A ‘HERO’ FOR CONFRONTING TRUMP AT WHITE HOUSE MEETING

Penn met with late Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez in Caracas in 2007. According to Chavez at the time, he and the actor discussed “why the (U.S.) empire attacks Chavez so much.”

The actor also met with late Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro years prior, as well as Raul Castro in 2008.

Maher began by asking Penn whether he believed having dinner with Trump was the right move. The actor said he could see the reasons why Maher would go to dinner with Trump, but admitted he wished the dinner was perceived as “less successful” for the president than it was, or that Maher had less praise for Trump’s demeanor during their evening together.

Maher disputed that point, stating, “Well, it was less successful because I never stopped saying all the things I’ve always said about him. It would have been successful if he had somehow seduced me into supporting him. So it wasn’t successful.”

CARVILLE RIPS ‘SUPREMELY NAIVE’ BILL MAHER FOR MEETING TRUMP AND PRAISING HIS HOSPITALITY

“The only reason I would not accept an invitation is because I see, I see no – it’s a long flight,” Penn said, struggling to give his answer.

Maher cut him off mid-thought, bringing up his meetings with the Latin American dictators.

Penn defended himself, saying there were good things that came out of those meetings.

“Yeah, I saw good results come out of some of those things in terms of the agendas that I had… I just personally wouldn’t trust anything that was said in the room, including the personality,” he added, appearing to suggest taking Trump at face value was beyond the pale.

Maher shot back, “It’s not a matter of trusting it. It’s a matter of seeing it, a matter of experiencing it, a matter of knowing it. It’s like saying, ‘I don’t want this medical test because, you know, I don’t want to know.’ I want to know.”

Audio reveals desperate request from dad accused of killing daughters in wooded area

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

New audio from a family court hearing shows Travis Decker pleading with a judge to let him spend more time with his three daughters, who he’s accused of killing.

The bodies of Decker’s three daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were found in a wooded area approximately 30 miles from Rock Island Campground in Washington, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office in a statement. Federal authorities took over the search on June 8 after local officials said they needed assistance. Decker is a former Army soldier with “extensive” training.

“We had reached a point where we need to rest our local resources,” the statement said. “However, CCSO leadership remains closely involved in search coordination and continues their lead with the criminal investigation.”

According to Fox 13, Decker’s visitation time with the three girls had been reduced in recent years. Whitney, Decker’s ex-wife, and her lawyer cited alleged endangerment of the three children, declining mental health and lack of communication in their request to decrease Travis’ visitation time.

ALLEGED KILLER DAD COULD MAKE ‘ONE MISTAKE’ THAT ENDS MANHUNT, SHERIFF SAYS

During a family court hearing in September 2024, a family court judge allowed Whitney to take near-full custody of the girls, alleging neglect and emotional distress. Travis was allowed to visit the children every other weekend for a set number of hours.

Decker expressed frustration with the parenting plan and told the family court judge he’d like to see his daughters more.

“I already only get a day and a half, two days, with my daughters, and it’s two nights. It’s a Friday night, Saturday night, and because of my current job and the current location, I’m in Idaho working. I am in the U.S. [Carpenter’s Union], so where I go, where the work is, is where I come, and through the new parenting plan, it takes away basically all my opportunities to be around the girls when I’m not at work. If I have the opportunity to be there for my daughters, I feel like I should be able to be there for them and not have to find my way to be around my daughters,” Decker said.

Decker’s children were allegedly heard crying over the phone with their mother during an overnight trip with their father at the Wenatchee armory, according to court records. The incident was cited with others as reasons why Decker shouldn’t be allowed to keep the kids overnight.

“I don’t believe that my weekends should be completely taken away since I have been gone. Every time I’ve had the girls, we have been in campsites, in national forests and paid campsites that have campers. We’ve never done anything that was unsafe or anything I wouldn’t want to put myself in,” Decker told the judge.

SURVIVALIST’S GOOGLE SEARCHES REVEAL POSSIBLE ESCAPE PLAN AMID MANHUNT IN DAUGHTERS’ TRIPLE MURDER: REPORT

After the judge signed off on the parenting plan that reduced the time Decker would spend with his daughters, he continued to ask for a different outcome.

“And then nothing can change that? Nothing, my signature doesn’t matter anyway, right? So if I don’t sign it, then …” Decker said.

When Decker didn’t drop the girls off by the 8 p.m. curfew on May 30, Whitney tried calling him, but he didn’t pick up, according to an affidavit. According to the court document, Decker had never missed a curfew to return the children.

The court documents indicated Decker had mental health issues and borderline personality disorder, adding he is homeless and lives in campgrounds and motels.
