China raises eyebrows with 747s spotted on radar heading to Iran
Several Boeing 747s have been spotted on radar leaving China for Iran over the last week, according to reports, sparking concerns that the CCP is helping the Middle Eastern nation transport cargo or people out of the country as Israel continues to strike the country’s nuclear facilities.
Starting on June 14th, FlightRadar24 shows that at least five flights traveled from China to Iran, and The Telegraph reported that the “mystery transport planes” had flown westward along northern China before crossing into Kazakhstan, south through Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, and then fell off radar as they approached Iran.
Additionally, the report indicated that the flights had a final destination of Luxembourg but don’t appear to have ever crossed into European airspace.
Some experts have speculated that these types of planes are typically used for transport and could be evidence of China aiding its longtime ally Iran during the conflict with Israel, although Fox News Digital has not independently confirmed the nature of the flights.

ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT: LIVE UPDATES
“I think it’s important to remember what the relationship is, forty-three percent of China’s oil and gas comes from the Middle East, a large volume of that from Iran,” Robert Greenway, director of the Heritage Foundation’s Center for National Defense, told “The Ingraham Angle” on Wednesday night.
“It likes to buy sanctioned oil below market value, and that fuels the Chinese economy and also its military ambitions, and so, that’s the central relationship. They’ve been relatively quiet – in fact, extremely quiet – about the current conflict and coming to Iran’s assistance. We also know that a large fire in Bandar-Abbas port was Chinese solid propellant for missiles that exploded and created a tremendous amount of damage just about a month ago. I think it’s unlikely to see Chinese arms shipments under the circumstances to Iran. It’s more likely that Iran may be removing material or personnel or regime valuables to safe haven in light of the conflict. I think that’s probably the extent to which China is willing to accept the risk associated with the current circumstances.”
HOW BUNKER BUSTER BOMBS WORK AND HOW THEY COULD DESTROY IRAN’S FORDOW NUCLEAR SITE
In 2021, Fox News Digital reported that Tehran and Beijing signed a 25-year cooperation deal amidst great fanfare in the Iranian capital. University of Tehran Professor Mohammad Marandi, who is close to the regime, told Fox News that it is about much more than what’s on paper.
“This strategic partnership is important because it allows Iran and China to build a roadmap for long-term relations that will be much more fruitful,” he said. “It’s also a signal being sent to the United States. The more the U.S. tries to isolate Iran and China, the more it causes countries like Iran and China to move more closely to each other.”
TUGBOATS, CRUISE SHIPS AND FLIGHTS: ISRAEL BEGINS EMERGENCY EVACUATION OF CITIZENS AMID IRAN WAR
Some have cast doubt on the flights representing a nefarious connection between the two nations, including Atlantic Council fellow Tuvia Gering who posted on X that an aviation expert told him the flights are “nothing to write home about.”
“There are regular cargo flights by the Luxembourg-based freight company from several locations in China to Europe, with a stopover in Turkmenistan (just a few dozen kilometers from the Iranian border),” Gering wrote.
“Some flight tracking websites lose the tracking signal shortly before landing and continue to show a projected route that appears to enter Iranian airspace. The sites clearly indicate that this is an estimated path; checking the aircraft tail numbers shows they take off again from Turkmenistan a few hours later, and reviewing the flight history of these routes shows they always land in Ashgabat and do not continue into Iran. All this is before even considering the obvious logic that a major European cargo company is highly unlikely to be the channel through which China transfers its super-advanced, top-secret strategic weapons to Iran.”
ISRAEL’S WAR WITH IRAN IS A GLOBAL FLASHPOINT. AMERICA MUST LEAD BEFORE IT SPREADS
Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated significantly in recent days, with the United States contemplating whether it will get directly involved in striking Iran. President Donald Trump has repeatedly said that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and he is expected to meet with national security and defense leaders again on Thursday.

“Yes, I may do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do. I can tell you this that Iran’s got a lot of trouble, and they want to negotiate,” Trump said Wednesday.
“And I said, why didn’t you negotiate with me before all this death and destruction? Why didn’t you go? I said to people, why didn’t you negotiate with me two weeks ago? You could have done fine. You would have had a country. It’s very sad to watch this,” the president added.
Trump scores major win against Newsom in battle for National Guard control
In a unanimous ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday, President Donald Trump was allowed to keep control of National Guard troops deployed to Los Angeles.
The ruling stays the lower court order that ordered command of the troops back to California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
A president hasn’t made a decision about the deployment of a National Guard without the permission of the state’s governor since 1965.
TRUMP WEIGHS MILITARY ACTION AGAINST IRAN AMID MOUNTING LEGAL CONCERNS
In the filing, the court stated that they believed the president had made a lawful decision.
“Affording the President that deference, we conclude that it is likely that the President lawfully exercised his statutory authority under § 12406(3), which authorizes federalization of the National Guard when the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States,” the court stated.
The court also stated they disagreed with Newsom’s argument that the president’s decision to federalize members of the California National Guard under 10 U.S.C. § 12406 is completely insulated from judicial review.
TRUMP AND NEWSOM ON COLLISION COURSE AS FIGHT OVER NATIONAL GUARD INTENSIFIES IN COURT
Trump, in a post to Truth Social on Thursday night, praised the Court of Appeals for their decision and said the decision was a win.
“BIG WIN in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on the President’s core power to call in the National Guard! The Judges obviously realized that Gavin Newscum is incompetent and ill prepared, but this is much bigger than Gavin, because all over the United States, if our Cities, and our people, need protection, we are the ones to give it to them should State and Local Police be unable, for whatever reason, to get the job done. This is a Great Decision for our Country, and we will continue to protect and defend Law abiding Americans. Congratulations to the Ninth Circuit, America is proud of you tonight!,” he posted.

Even though the president failed to notify the governor before deploying the National Guard as required by law, the court cited that Newsom had no power to veto the president’s order.
California Democrat celebrates Supreme Court ruling on transgender treatment ban
While the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision against youth transgender treatments dismayed many Democrats as a “stunning setback,” one member of the party from deep blue California says she “couldn’t be happier.”
“I am absolutely thrilled,” Erin Friday, parental rights advocate and lifelong Democrat, told “Fox & Friends First” on Thursday.
The Golden State mom and attorney, whose involvement with the transgender issue began when her own daughter briefly questioned her gender, said she felt that her heart had “absolutely burst” and she “broke down in tears” of joy upon hearing the court’s decision.
‘WE WON’: SOCIAL MEDIA ERUPTS OVER SCOTUS RULING DEALING ‘FATAL BLOW’ TO TRANSGENDER SURGERIES ON MINORS
Speaking to Fox News’ Carley Shimkus, she predicted the ruling will have “far-reaching effects” that go beyond gender interventions on kids and explained that some concurring opinions have established “important” legal precedents for other cases dealing with hot-button transgender issues like biological men playing in women’s sports.
“What these justices wrote was so important,” Friday said.
“Justice Alito wrote about sex being biological, and that’s going to be used in these sports cases to get the males out of girls’ sports.”
SOTOMAYOR WARNS SKRMETTI DECISION WILL CAUSE ‘UNTOLD HARM’ TO TRANSGENDER CHILDREN IN SCATHING DISSENT
“Justice Thomas wrote extensively about the lack of evidence on these gender interventions on children, what’s happening in Europe, and the harms that are being perpetrated on our children in the United States with this so-called gender ideology, and there’s some language in this opinion that also destroys the notion that there’s even such a thing as gender identity.”
At the same time, Friday said Congress needs to “save” children in blue states still backing such treatments by taking action to codify a ban on such treatments nationwide.
“We need to protect all the children in the United States, not just those who are lucky enough to live in Republican states,” she added.

Hostin feels ‘terrible’ about question to Kamala Harris that derailed campaign
“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin defended her viral question to former Vice President Kamala Harris last year that set back her campaign in a new podcast interview, but Hostin said she felt “terrible” that it had such an impact.
As producer Brian Teta joked on the show’s “Behind the Table” podcast that Hostin had “single-handedly taken down the Democratic Party” with her question to Harris about differences between her and President Joe Biden, the liberal co-host insisted it was fair and something Harris should have expected.
Harris joined the co-hosts of “The View” in early October 2024 and was asked by Hostin if there was anything she would have done differently than Biden over the course of the presidency. Harris told the co-hosts, “not a thing comes to mind,” which was widely criticized and seen by some as a turning point for the campaign, given Biden’s unpopularity and Harris avoiding an easy opportunity to create space for herself.
“I knew it instantly when she answered it,” Hostin said during the podcast conversation, when asked by Teta if she knew it would be a viral moment. “Which is why I asked the follow-up question, ‘is there one thing?’ Because I knew, I could see the soundbite and I knew what was going to happen, but I thought it was a really fair question and I thought it was a question that she would expect.”
TOP KAMALA HARRIS CAMPAIGN ADVISOR ADMITS SHE WAS FLOORED BY DEMOCRAT’S MAJOR FLUB ON ‘VIEW’
Hostin had no interest in hurting Harris’ chances. The liberal co-host openly supported Harris and also predicted she would easily win the election.
Hostin argued she felt Harris needed to express what her administration would look like in contrast with Biden’s.
“And now Jake Tapper wrote it in his book?” she asked her fellow co-host, Alyssa Farah Griffin. “I feel terrible.”
Teta also asked the co-hosts if they felt Harris’ answer really cost her the election.
“No, right?” Hostin asked the live audience present, as she smiled. Co-host Sara Haines and Teta agreed, as Griffin suggested it did play a role in her loss.
“The Trump campaign put so much ad money behind that specific clip and what they were trying to do is tie her to Biden’s unfavorabilities, but more than that, just simply the right-track, wrong-track of the election… They used it to say, ‘Well, she’s not going to do anything different,'” Griffin said.
BIDEN DENIES TELLING HARRIS THERE COULD BE ‘NO DAYLIGHT’ BETWEEN THEM, ADDRESSES FORMER VP’S ‘VIEW’ MOMENT
Democratic strategist James Carville said after the election that Harris’ loss could be reduced to the viral moment on “The View.”
“The country wants something different. And she’s asked, as is so often the case, in a friendly audience, on ‘The View,’ ‘How would you be different than Biden?’ That’s the one question that you exist to answer, alright? That is it. That’s the money question. That’s the one you want. That’s the one that everybody wants to know the answer to. And you freeze! You literally freeze and say, ‘Well, I can’t think of anything,’” Carville said last November after Trump’s win.
At the start of the podcast discussion, Behar quipped, “it’s Sunny’s fault she didn’t win.”

Hostin said in November she was surprised by Harris’ flub, and called it a layup question at the time.
“I was surprised at the answer because it was a question that really could have inured to her benefit. It was a question that could have been a change maker,” she said.
Ex-trooper defends himself after texts revealed in Karen Read murder case
Former Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor laughed at the notion that he tried to frame Karen Read in 2022 when John O’Keefe died, he said in a recent television interview.
In the interview which aired on Thursday night, Proctor responded to accusations that he’s corrupt and deliberately tried to frame Read in the death of her boyfriend, who was a Boston Police Department officer.
“I laugh because it’s such a ridiculous accusation,” Proctor said on NBC’s “Dateline.” “There’s not one piece of evidence or fact to support that, because it did not happen. I would never do something like that.”
When asked if he cracked the taillight on Read’s Lexus, Proctor responded “absolutely not.”
KAREN READ MURDER CASE VERDICT REACHED AFTER DEADLOCKED FIRST TRIAL
Proctor, who was the lead investigator in Read’s case, shared “derogatory texts” regarding the suspect, in addition to sharing “sensitive or confidential information,” an internal review found. The review found Proctor called Read a “wack job,” a “babe… with no a–” and a “c—.” He also wrote that he wished Read would kill herself in addition to joking about looking for nude selfies on Read’s phone.
Proctor told “Dateline” that he should get his job back.
“I’ve never had a single complaint. I’ve never been the subject of any disciplinary actions. All my employee evaluations are either outstanding or excellent. And I still love the job. I still want to be a trooper. And I’m fighting for it. You know, I’m going to the appeals process now,” Proctor said.
The former Massachusetts State Trooper also responded to accusations that his text messages about Read were inappropriate.
“What’s in your private phone, your personal phone?” Proctor asked. “Have you ever had a moment of…A poor lapse of judgment, when you’re just airing stuff out on your personal phone, you have an expectation of privacy in that little device.”
Proctor also told ABC’s “20/20” he allowed his emotions to get too involved when he sent those texts.
FINAL DEFENSE WITNESS IN KAREN READ TRIAL PUMPS BRAKES ON LEXUS COLLISION THEORY
“I expressed those emotions in a negative way, which I shouldn’t have. I shouldn’t have been texting my friends anyhow,” he said. “They are what they are. They don’t define me as a person. They’re regrettable.
In a statement posted to X, Massachusetts State Police Colonel Geoffrey Noble said new policies have been implemented following Read’s case.
“The events of the last three years have challenged our Department to thoroughly review our actions and take concrete steps to deliver advanced investigative training, ensure appropriate oversight, and enhance accountability. Under my direction as Colonel, the State Police has, and will continue to, improve in these regards. Our focus remains on delivering excellent police services that reflect the value of
professionalism and maintain public trust,” Noble said.

Jurors on Wednesday found Read not guilty of second-degree murder, but found her guilty of operating a vehicle while under the influence with a blood-alcohol level of .08% or greater.
Following the verdict, special prosecutor Hank Brennan requested Read undergo 1 year of probation in addition to a 24D outpatient program, which is routine for the first drunken driving offense.
The verdict came following 30 days of testimony and four days of jury deliberation. Prosecutors initially alleged Read killed her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe on Jan. 29, 2022 while she was driving her car drunk during a blizzard.

O’Keefe was found during the early morning hours of Jan. 29, 2022, with his body lying in the snow. Kerry Roberts and Jennifer McCabe both testified against her, telling jurors that Read was panicked when she called them on the morning of Jan. 29, 2022 saying O’Keefe was missing.
McCabe alleged that Read repeated the phrase “I hit him” on the morning he went missing. Timothy Nuttall, a paramedic, also said in court that he heard Read saying “I hit him” three times.
Witnesses testified that Read and O’Keefe were drinking with friends, which included McCabe, in Canton and were invited to an after-party at Brian Albert’s house, but the couple didn’t attend.

Read’s defense team, however, maintained that Read never hit O’Keefe. Her lawyers blamed O’Keefe’s injuries on a dog attack as well as an altercation with men at the after-party.
According to witnesses who testified in court, while Read’s car was outside Albert’s house, she and O’Keefe weren’t seen at the after-party. Read told reporters that she saw O’Keefe enter the house prior to her driving away.
Missing police sergeant discovered in extreme hoarding conditions after welfare check
A retired police detective’s skeletal remains have been found inside her rural Connecticut home filled with hoarding conditions seven months after she was reported missing.
The remains of 73-year-old Mary Notarangelo were discovered in February after work crews arrived at her rural Connecticut home to remove piles of trash accumulated from the retired detective’s hoarding behavior, according to the Glastonbury Police Department.
Notarangelo was last heard from around June 12, 2024, when she texted a friend to say she was suffering from abdominal cramps and vomiting and had fallen. Approximately three weeks later, the friend called the police to request a welfare check.
CT POLICE QUASH NEW ENGLAND SERIAL KILLER RUMORS, ARREST MAN AFTER WOMAN FOUND DISMEMBERED IN SUITCASE
Seven months later, on Feb. 24, an environmental services crew was called to Notarangelo’s home to begin removing the “mountains” of garbage. Notarangelo’s skeletal remains were discovered after workers used a small excavator to shovel a large pile of debris from behind her front door.
Authorities have not provided a reason why it took over half a year to find Notarangelo’s remains, though officials pointed to the large amount of trash in her home. Glastonbury police said conditions in the home were among the worst they have seen and complicated attempts to locate Notarangelo.
Officials reported finding cages of dead birds, a live cat and mice within the home, which also had a terrible stench.
BODY OF MISSING WASHINGTON STATE GRANDMOTHER FOUND BURIED UNDER SHED PARTIALLY ENCASED IN CONCRETE
“Once inside, I observed more mountains of garbage, cobwebs and spiders,” Officer Anthony Longo reported. “There was no path whatsoever. The only way to move from room to room was by climbing over the garbage.”
Local authorities conducted their first search of the home on July 3, 2024, but were unable to locate Notarangelo, citing hoarding piles as the primary factor. A drone was also deployed into the house, but ultimately struck cobwebs and was disabled, according to police. Additional searches were conducted on July 5, July 11, July 12 and Nov. 20, but Notarangelo was never found.
“It’s so upsetting and so sad,” said Patti Steeves, a friend of Notarangelo’s who previously worked at the Bridgeport Police Department as a civilian employee. “She, as quirky as she was, was a good person at heart.”
SKELETAL REMAINS FOUND NEAR NEW HAMPSHIRE GOLF COURSE DAYS AFTER 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF WOMAN’S DISAPPEARANCE
Steeves revealed she had made attempts to speak with her friend about the hoarding, but Notarangelo did not want to discuss the issue. Notarangelo was also a “bird fanatic” and had about 20 birds, along with a cat and dog, her friend said.
Notarangelo worked with the Bridgeport police from 1985 to 1996, and was promoted to detective in 1992 and to sergeant a year later, according to the department. She later retired on disability following an on-duty car crash, Steeves said.
Notarangelo’s cause of death could not be determined because her remains were primarily skeletal, the state medical examiner’s office said.

Three-time major winner leaves PGA Tour event when neck pain becomes ‘too much’
Jordan Spieth has never had to withdraw from a start at any competitive level of golf in his life, let alone the PGA Tour.
There’s a first time for everything.
After making 297 straight starts at events he was scheduled to play, Spieth withdrew from this week’s Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands due to a neck injury.

“I’ve never withdrawn from an event ever, anywhere at any level, so I didn’t really know what to do,” Spieth told reporters after making his decision, via Yahoo Sports. “It just became too much. … don’t know, it’s unfortunate. I’ve been doing everything right, and I think it was just very random.”
Spieth believes he was sleeping in an unusual position Wednesday night, and the pain began to hit him during practice shots on the range.
TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP DIRECTOR SAYS HE WOULD ‘LOVE’ TO HAVE LIV PLAYERS BACK AT TOURNAMENT
His usual warmup routine was thrown off, and Spieth left the range early to receive treatment on his neck. But it didn’t work.
He tested things out on the course, but he looked to be in pain with every swing he made. After 12 holes, Spieth called it quits.
He teed off on the 13th hole, but after letting out a painful yell on the tee box, he knew it was time to stop pushing it. Spieth’s round wasn’t going well. He was 5-over for the tournament at that point.
“As I was out there playing, I couldn’t, I just wasn’t moving very well, and then it just got worse,” he explained. “I was just going to try to see if I could somehow get through at even. It’s a weird situation with an elevated event and no cut and important points and stuff.
“I hit my tee shot on 13, and it legitimately really hurt. …I was like, ‘It’s only going to get worse to finish the round, and it’s not worth it.’ I thought that was the time.”

Oklahoma woman picked controversial new Lay’s chip flavor, others share opinions
This summer, Lay’s is offering an all-American favorite in potato chip form.
Lay’s Bacon Grilled Cheese potato chips were selected as the winner of the 2025 “Do Us a Flavor” fan contest.
Paula George of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, submitted the winning flavor, which received the most fan votes, as Texas-based Frito-Lay announced earlier this week.

George’s winning flavor was inspired by her late father’s recipe, the company said.
The grilled cheese-flavored chips are made from butter, cheddar cheese, blue cheese and bacon fat, among other additions, according to the ingredient label.
On Reddit, a group of chip lovers discussed the new snack, with people’s reactions ranging from intrigue to hesitation.
“I haven’t tried the bacon ones, but I don’t generally like ‘bacon flavor,'” one hesitant commentator wrote.
“I love the flavor of bacon, but ‘bacon flavor’ is often not that.”
The person added, “To be clear, I love the flavor of bacon, but ‘bacon flavor’ is often not that.”
“Always too smokey,” someone else chimed in.

“Looks pretty good,” another person said in part.
A few users had already tasted the chips and shared their thoughts about them.
One person noted that the new offering “tastes like a cheese chip.”
