White House salary report reveals top earners and staffers working for free

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

President Donald Trump‘s administration released its annual report revealing the salaries for every staffer inside the White House on Thursday.

The report shows employees’ earnings in a range of $59,070 at the lowest to $225,700 at the highest, though a few aren’t accepting salaries at all.

The top-paid staffer at the White House is Jacalynne Klopp, a senior advisor and the sole staffer earning $225,700. Behind her is Edgar Mkrtchian, an associate counsel, making $203,645.

Behind them comes a group of 33 staffers making $195,200, which includes many well-known names. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt takes in this level of salary, as does border czar Tom Homan, chief of staff Susan Wiles, trade advisor Peter Navarro, communications director Steven Cheung and police chief of staff and homeland security advisor Stephen Miller.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

According to the report, there are 108 employees who make between $59,000 and $80,000, while Trump’s speechwriters earn between $92,500 and $121,500.

Eight employees do not receive salaries at all, though some of those are due to overlapping roles in other sections of government.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is chief among these, not receiving any compensation for his White House role as national security advisor. Special envoy Steve Witkoff also receives compensation from the State Department rather than the White House.

Trump’s own compensation is not listed in the report, but the pay scheme for the president is laid out in federal law. As president, Trump earns a base salary of $400,000, as well as a $50,000 expense allowance, $100,000 for travel and $19,000 for entertainment.

US bunker busters ‘completely obliterated’ Iran’s nuclear facilities: Pentagon

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The “bunker busting” bombs dropped on Iranian nuclear sites last month by U.S. forces have degraded Tehran’s atomic program by up to two years, the Pentagon confirmed Wednesday.

“We have degraded their program by one to two years, at least intel assessments inside the Department [of Defense] assess that,” Defense Department spokesman Sean Parnell told reporters.

“We believe that Iran’s nuclear capability has been severely degraded, perhaps even their ambition to build a bomb,” he added, though security experts have told Fox News Digital that Tehran is unlikely to be deterred in its ambition to build a nuclear weapon.

TRUMP COULD ARM ISRAEL WITH US B-2S AND BUNKER BUSTERS IF IRAN TRIES TO GO NUCLEAR UNDER NEW PROPOSAL

The announcement reflects a far more positive assessment regarding the success of the June 22 strikes that targeted the Fordo, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear sites than previous estimates regarding the extent to which Tehran’s atomic capabilities had been degraded.

Rafael Grossi, head of the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), over the weekend warned that Iran may be able to resume enriching uranium within a matter of months.

The comments also coincided with reports that Iran may have been able to move some of its stockpiles of near-weapons-grade enriched uranium, or possibly centrifuges, after satellite images showed more than a dozen cargo trucks were spotted at the Fordow nuclear site prior to the U.S. strikes.

IRAN TO SUSPEND WORK WITH UN NUCLEAR WATCHDOG, PRESIDENT SAYS

The U.S. has fervently denied that any intelligence suggests Iran was successful in moving its nuclear capabilities off site. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth became angry when asked about the possibility by reporters.

Fox News Digital has confirmed that Israel is continuing to monitor the security situation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi this week acknowledged that there was severe damage to the Fordow facility, though he also insisted that “the technology and knowhow is still there.”

“No one exactly knows what has transpired in Fordow. That being said, what we know so far is that the facilities have been seriously and heavily damaged,” Aragchi said during a CBS interview this week.

Though according to Parnell on Wednesday, “All of the intelligence that we’ve seen (has) led us to believe that Iran’s – those facilities especially, have been completely obliterated.”

A boating accident near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, claimed the lives of two people and left two others injured, according to local authorities.

The incident occurred on the evening of Friday, June 27, when emergency crews responded to reports of a boating crash in the Skull Creek area, just before 10 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on Facebook.

“Upon arrival, the vessel was located with four individuals on board,” officials said. “Two occupants sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, the other two individuals were found deceased at the scene.”

Multiple response teams were involved in the rescue operation as divers were deployed and entered the water promptly upon arrival. According to an update from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), which is leading the investigation, the missing individuals and two dogs were found inside the overturned boat.

Officials identified the deceased as 73-year-old Patsy Montgomery and 76-year-old James Montgomery, residents of Bluffton. The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office confirmed their identities to local outlet WJCL, noting that the official cause of death has not yet been determined.

According to the SCDNR preliminary report obtained by Fox News Digital, the boat appears to have collided with a day marker in the Intracoastal Waterway.

CNN commentator asks whether the Trump family ‘belongs here’ legally

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers asked why people aren’t investigating the Trump family’s citizenship status while discussing the White House’s ongoing deportation efforts on Tuesday.

Sellers took part in a panel on “CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip” on the topic of the Trump administration attempting to revoke the citizenship of naturalized Americans who commit crimes.

The panel referenced a recent memo from the Justice Department dated June 11 that directed U.S. attorneys to “prioritize and maximally pursue denaturalization proceedings” as part of an effort by the Trump administration to crack down on crime.

While accusing President Donald Trump of refusing to give immigrants “the benefit of their humanity,” Sellers suggested people needed to “have a full conversation” about the Trump family’s legal status.

BAKARI SELLERS INTERRUPTS COMMENTATOR, CORRECTS HIM OVER PRONUNCIATION OF KAMALA HARRIS’ NAME

“Look, if we want to have a conversation about who belongs where, when, how, and whether or not their citizenship status- and we want to look at everything, I mean, I would look at Donald Trump Jr.,” Sellers said. “I would look at all of Melania‘s kids, all of Ivana‘s kids. I mean, let‘s just have a full conversation over who belongs here, how did they get here, their citizenship status.”

He added, “Let‘s just have a full discussion about all of it. Why is that not on the table right now? I mean, the only person here should be Tiffany Trump, if we‘re going to have this discussion.”

First lady Melania Trump, Barron’s mother, was born in Slovenia before becoming a U.S. citizen in 2006. The late Ivana Trump, Trump’s first wife and Eric, Ivanka and Donald Jr.’s mother, was born in the Czech Republic before becoming a U.S. citizen in 1988. Trump’s second wife, Tiffany’s mother, Marla Maples, was born in the U.S.

The Justice Department memo from Assistant Attorney General Brett Shumate states that denaturalization cases against “individuals who pose a potential danger to national security, including those with a nexus to terrorism, espionage, or the unlawful export from the United States of sensitive goods, technology, or information raising national security concerns” are one of the key priorities.

“The benefits of civil denaturalization include the government’s ability to revoke the citizenship of individuals who engaged in the commission of war crimes, extrajudicial killings, or other serious human rights abuses; to remove naturalized criminals, gang members, or, indeed, any individuals convicted of crimes who pose an ongoing threat to the United States; and to prevent convicted terrorists from returning to U.S. soil or traveling internationally on a U.S. passport,” Shumate wrote.

“House Democrats will keep the pressure on Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill,” Jeffries posted on Instagram on Wednesday, along with a photo of himself holding a Louisville Slugger and standing in his office.

The post was widely criticized by conservatives.

Girl fell through Disney cruise porthole as dad leapt into ocean to save her, police say

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A dramatic ocean rescue ensued from the father of a 5-year-old girl who lost her balance while sitting on a railing and fell through a porthole, authorities revealed.

The rescue unfolded around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29 on Deck 4 of the Disney Dream ship while it was in international waters between the Bahamas and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Investigators said the child was sitting on a railing near a porthole when she fell backward into the ocean.

After the girl’s mother alerted her husband, who didn’t see the incident, he jumped into the ocean to save his daughter.

BSO detectives said after the 37-year-old father found his daughter, he treaded water until they were rescued by Disney Cruise Line rescue personnel on a tender that was launched from the ship.

The department said that the total time from the young girl’s accidental fall to the rescue was about 20 minutes.

Security footage from the ship corroborated the family’s account of the accident, which remains under investigation, the department said.

The ship’s crew sprang into action, launching a rescue operation that BSO officials credited to their rigorous man-overboard training.

Dewayne Smith, another passenger, wrote on Facebook that “Man Over Board” rang across the loudspeaker as rescue teams sprang into action.

“Lots of praying folks on this ship! Both the little girl and dad were both successfully rescued!” he wrote.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson confirmed the successful rescue: “The Crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water. “We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols,” they said. Fox News Digital has reached out to Disney Cruise Line for additional comment.

Once rescued, the father and daughter duo were checked by the ship’s medical staff. After the ship safely arrived Monday at Port Everglades, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported them to an area hospital.

The father was hospitalized, but details of his injuries were not released. The sheriff’s department noted that the family lives out of state, and they are not releasing their names nor where they live.

Clint Eastwood’s complicated love life and ‘addictive’ affairs revealed in biography

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Clint Eastwood is a man of many layers.

In a new biography written by filmmaker Shawn Levy,Clint: The Man and The Movies,” the legendary actor’s life behind the camera is examined through past quotes from Eastwood and various peers who shed insight into his extensive romantic past and “addictive” affairs he had while married to his first wife, Maggie Johnson, and other partners.

“His affairs, he later admitted to Richard Schickel, ‘just became … I don’t know … addictive … like you have to have another cigarette,’” Levy wrote in the book, quoting Eastwood.

CLINT EASTWOOD REFLECTS ON DECADES IN HOLLYWOOD AND HIS DRIVE TO KEEP WORKING AS HE TURNS 95

Eastwood married Johnson in 1953. Throughout their 21-year marriage, Eastwood had many affairs with various women and fathered multiple children.

“There were many other women, some from the ranks of classmates, some encountered at the nightspots and jazz clubs that he frequented, some from among his neighbors at the apartment complex in Studio City, near Universal, to which he and Maggie had moved when he first went under contract to the studio,” Levy wrote in the book.

“The atmosphere of that small apartment building — which, naturally, was centered around a swimming pool — not only encouraged sexual adventures but facilitated them; several of Clint’s friends from Oakland, Seattle, and Fort Ord moved into the place or similar places nearby, meaning that there were always apartments readily available for a quick tryst — and buddies willing to help him cover his tracks.”

According to Levy, Eastwood was always upfront about his behavior and allegedly had an “understanding” with Johnson.

“It wasn’t entirely evident, though, that he needed such help. As a friend put it, ‘Clint goes where he wants, does what he wants — goes to dinner with a girl if he wants. Maggie doesn’t say a thing. Clint is the undisputed boss.’ He referred to himself half-jokingly as a ’married bachelor,’ but there were significant hints that his wife knew the score and was okay with it,” Levy wrote.

CLINT EASTWOOD ‘S DAUGHTER SAYS ‘VERY STRICT’ DAD HAD THIS PIECE OF ADVICE GROWING UP

“‘Maggie and I have an understanding,’ he was quoted as saying. ‘I’m independent, a vagabond, and she accepts me as I am and doesn’t strangle me with female possessiveness.’ Speaking more broadly, he declared, ‘Maggie doesn’t chain me. The worst thing is owning people. I don’t want to be owned by anybody — maybe shared, but not lock, stock, and barrel.

“Love is respecting privacy, accepting faults. But I don’t believe it’s a one-way street. The sophisticated woman accepts that chances are a guy’s not being 100 percent faithful. If she talks about it, it only makes it worse.’”

Eastwood allegedly said of his relationship with Johnson, “There’s no ownership in this marriage. My soul is my own. Maggie knows this. Possession is the worst thing. I’m hard to live with. … I’m moody, and lots of the time I’d rather be alone. … It took Maggie a while, but she learned.”

Though Johnson was aware of the trysts, Levy wrote, it’s unclear if she knew just how extensive the affairs were.

“Their private life was another matter, as Maggie admitted some years later when she told an interviewer, ‘We’re not advocates of the total togetherness theory.’ It’s not clear that she was aware of just how many liberties Clint took, or, for that matter, whether she availed herself of any.

“But they stayed together through these lean years, despite living near enough to her family for her to make other choices, so she either didn’t know or didn’t care about his sexual entanglements — or she believed that they were his business and nobody else’s, not even hers,” Levy wrote.

“It seemed to some who knew the couple that she thrived. ‘She’s got more steel than a hardware store,’ a friend noted. ‘Clint talks to her about everything.’ And Clint himself admitted, ‘She is the very best friend I have. She loved me when no one else did.’”

A representative for Eastwood did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The couple, who had two children together during their marriage, got divorced in 1984. Eastwood and stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis welcomed a daughter, Kimber Lynn, in 1964, while he was still married to Johnson.

Eastwood married Dina Ruiz in 1996, and the couple divorced in 2014. He also had long-term relationships with actresses Sondra Locke and Frances Fisher.

The award-winning actor and director is a father of eight: Laurie Murray, Kimber Eastwood, Kyle Eastwood, Alison Eastwood, Scott Eastwood, Kathryn Eastwood, Francesca Eastwood and Morgan Eastwood.

In July 2023, Eastwood announced his girlfriend of ten years, Christina Sandera, had died.

“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” he said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

A few days later, his daughter Morgan shared a photo with the couple, noting the “devastating” loss.

“A devastating loss for our whole family,” Morgan wrote of Sandera, who died at the age of 61 July 18. “Thank you Christina for being a good partner to my Dad. You will be missed.”

Sandera’s cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia, the Monterey, California, County Department of Health said in a death certificate obtained by Fox News Digital.

Two years after his loss, he said he had no plans to slow down professionally.

In a recent interview with the Austrian newspaper Kurier, the director, who turned 95 in May, revealed  he is in pre-production on a new movie, dispelling rumors that 2024’s “Juror #2” would be his final film.

OJ Simpson’s attorney slams court’s decision after Diddy verdict stuns courtroom

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Sean “Diddy” Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges Wednesday following a two-month trial where his legal team argued that the case was about “voluntary adult choices,” not a “mean” man running a criminal enterprise.

After the verdict was read, people in the courtroom began shouting “dream team” to Diddy’s high-profile lawyers, a team headed by Teny Geragos and Marc Agnifilo. Geragos cried as she hugged Diddy’s family.

The other lawyers include Brian Steel — who recently represented rapper Young Thug — Anna Estevao, Jason Driscoll, Xavier R. Donaldson and Alexandra Shapiro.

The “dream team” nickname first made headlines in 1995 for the group of defense lawyers who represented OJ Simpson in his eight-month trial for the alleged murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

DIDDY BEATS RICO, FOUND NOT GUILTY OF RACKETEERING CONSPIRACY AND SEX TRAFFICKING

Robert Shapiro, the first member and initial chair of Simpson’s defense team, praised Diddy’s legal counsel following the verdict.

“The defense team did a terrific job on a case the U.S. Attorney overcharged,” Robert Shapiro told Fox News Digital. “An acquittal in Federal Court is highly unusual. Congratulations to Mark and Tenny for building an incredible group of talented lawyers.”

DIDDY JURY DEADLOCKED AFTER RAPPER’S DEFENSE PLAYED ‘HIGH STAKES POKER’: EXPERT

Johnnie Cochran, Robert Kardashian, Barry Scheck, F. Lee Bailey, Shapiro and Alan Dershowitz comprised the dream team who helped get Simpson acquitted nearly 30 years ago.

Professor emeritus Dershowitz admitted Diddy’s dream team made the right decision by not letting the Bad Boy Records founder testify in his federal trial for sex crimes.

“Ultimately, the smart decision was not putting OJ on the witness stand,” he told Fox News Digital. “The smart decision here was not putting Combs on the witness stand. The difference is we want a complete victory. They got a partial victory, but an almost complete victory, so I commend them for excellent work.”

He added, “I think this was a good day for justice today, and it showed the power of juries to stand up against the federal government. And that’s a necessary check on the excesses of prosecutors.”

DIDDY JURY SETBACK COULD INDICATE A ‘STEALTH JUROR,’ MIGHT SIGNAL MAJOR ADVANTAGE FOR DEFENSE: EXPERT

Following the verdict, Dershowitz condemned the court’s decision to not grant Diddy bail.

“Vindictive and wrong,” Dershowitz said. “He was convicted of transactional, consensual sex with 2 adults.”

Geragos, known just as much for her last name as she is for her work in the courtroom, first earned fans last year with social media clips about her rapper client.

Teny also gained recognition for her opening remarks during Diddy’s federal trial, where she argued that the case was about “voluntary adult choices,” which the government was attempting to skew into a narrative to fit a sex trafficking charge.

The daughter of criminal defense lawyer Mark Geragos graduated from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 2016. Her father is known for representing several high-profile clients, including Michael Jackson, Scott Peterson, Jussie Smollett, Colin Kaepernick and, most recently, the Menendez brothers in their successful pursuit of resentencing.

She then worked with Brafman & Associates for eight years before becoming a founding partner of Agnifilo Intrater. Geragos serves on the board of directors of the New York Criminal Bar Association and is certified to practice law in New York and California.

During opening statements of Diddy’s trial, which began on May 5, Teny asked the jury to consider the federal charges, not the choices of an at-times violent man.

WATCH: Diddy trial was a ‘colossal failure by the prosecution,’ attorney Mark Geragos says

“Sean Combs is a complicated man, but this is not a complicated case,” Teny told the court. “This case is about love, jealousy, infidelity and money. This case is about voluntary adult choices made by capable adults and consensual relationships. This case is about those real-life relationships, and the government is trying to turn those relationships into a racketeering case, a prostitution case and a sex trafficking case. It will not work.”

She noted that Diddy “has a bad temper” and at times gets “so angry or so jealous that he is out of control,” but she emphasized that the “Victory” rapper was not charged with “being mean.”

“He is not charged with being a jerk. He’s charged with running a racketeering enterprise,” Teny said. “And though there was violence that you are going to hear about, you already have, that violence is not part of any RICO. That violence is not connected to sex trafficking and that violence is not prostitution.”

Agnifilo is no stranger to high-profile cases as a criminal defense lawyer based in New York. The former assistant district attorney previously worked for Brafman & Associates for more than 15 years before founding his own firm, Agnifilo Intrater, in 2024.

He’s familiar with high-profile trials and district attorney investigations after representing a number of prominent clients, including “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli and NXIVM sex cult leader Keith Raniere.

The Agnifilo household is familiar with high-profile cases, with Marc’s wife Karen Friedman Agnifilo leading the defense for alleged health care CEO assassin Luigi Mangione

The jury found Diddy not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He was found guilty on both counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Following the verdict, his defense pushed back after the judge denied the rapper’s request for bail.

Agnifilo argued that Diddy has done remarkable things in his life. He is a businessman and a serious person, the attorney noted, adding Diddy has seemingly been a model prisoner in a very difficult situation at MDC Brooklyn. According to Agnifilo, he has no issues on his record.

“Diddy is a man who has lived up to his obligations,” the lawyer said. “Jury gave him a chance at life today.”

The government said Diddy is very wealthy, brazen, and dangerous. They noted that any chance of jail time is a reason to flee. They accused Diddy of having a short temper, and noted how the rapper has abused people violently.

“It was also brazen for him to have drugs and supplies for prostitution waiting while he was arrested,” prosecutors argued. A sentencing hearing is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 3.

After the trial concluded, Diddy’s team spoke at a press conference, with Agnifilo vowing that they wouldn’t stop until he walks a “free man.”
