Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez Jr arrested by ICE days after fighting Jake Paul
Famed Mexican boxer and criminal illegal immigrant Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Wednesday, just four days after fighting Jake Paul at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest on Thursday, noting Chavez was being processed for “expedited removal from the United States.”
Chavez was arrested in Los Angeles in January 2024 and later convicted of possession of an assault weapon, and manufacturing or importing a short-barreled rifle, according to the statement. He had a prior U.S. criminal conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2012.
He also has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his alleged involvement with the Sinaloa Cartel—trafficking firearms, ammunition and explosives, according to DHS officials.

JAKE PAUL NOW ELIGIBLE FOR CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT AS HE OFFICIALLY ENTERS WBA CRUISERWEIGHT RANKINGS
While Chavez entered the U.S. legally in August 2023 on a B2 tourist visa, it expired in February 2024.
In April 2024, he filed an application for Lawful Permanent Resident status.
However, his application was based on his marriage to a U.S. citizen, who is connected to the Sinaloa Cartel through a prior relationship with the now-deceased son of the infamous cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, according to the statement.
In December 2024, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services made a referral to ICE that Chavez was considered “an egregious public safety threat.”
“However, an entry in a DHS law enforcement system under the Biden administration indicated Chavez was not an immigration enforcement priority,” DHS wrote.
DHS said Chavez reentered the country in January through the San Ysidro port of entry. But, after “multiple fraudulent statements on his application to become a Lawful Permanent Resident,” he was deemed to be in the country illegally and removable on June 27.
“It is shocking the previous administration flagged this criminal illegal alien as a public safety threat, but chose to not prioritize his removal and let him leave and COME BACK into our country,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin wrote in a statement. “Under President Trump, no one is above the law—including world-famous athletes.”
“Our message to any cartel affiliates in the U.S. is clear: We will find you and you will face consequences,” McLaughlin added. “The days of unchecked cartel violence are over.”

Chavez’s fight against Paul ended in defeat, with judges giving the Youtuber-turned-boxer a unanimous victory after 10 rounds.
Chavez was a former WBC middleweight champion and the son of the boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez, who held five different world titles in four different weight classes. Paul’s win on Saturday resulted in him getting ranked for the first time, coming in at No. 14 in the WBA cruiserweight rankings.
Alito sounded alarm as ‘rogue’ judges find ways around Supreme Court’s power check
Justice Samuel Alito raised concerns about a “potentially significant loophole” in the Supreme Court’s decision to curb universal injunctions, and now his warning is hanging over lawsuits involving President Donald Trump.
Alito said in his concurring opinion in Trump v. CASA that class action lawsuits and lawsuits brought by states leave room for judges to hand down injunctions that, in practice, would function the same way a universal injunction does.
“Federal courts should thus be vigilant against such potential abuses of these tools,” Alito said.
SCOTUS RULES ON BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP ORDER, TESTING LOWER COURT POWERS
Alito’s warning comes as judges continue to hand down sweeping rulings and as plaintiffs begin filing lawsuits tailored to avoid running into the new roadblock established by the high court.
In one major ruling, Judge Randolph Moss, an Obama appointee based in Washington, D.C., found this week that Trump’s proclamation declaring an “invasion” at the border was unlawful.
Trump’s proclamation restricted migrants from claiming asylum when crossing into the United States, a practice the Trump administration says has been abused by border crossers.
Moss “set aside” that policy under the Administrative Procedure Act, which had an effect similar to that of a nationwide injunction. More than a dozen potential asylees brought the lawsuit, and Moss also agreed to certify the case as a class action lawsuit that applied to all potential asylees in the country.
The Trump administration immediately appealed the ruling. Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement that Moss was a “rogue district court judge” who was “already trying to circumvent the Supreme Court’s recent ruling against nationwide injunctions.”
TRUMP CELEBRATES SUPREME COURT LIMITS ON ‘COLOSSAL ABUSE OF POWER’ BY FEDERAL JUDGES
In his concurring opinion, Alito warned against class action lawsuits that do not strictly abide by Rule 23, which lays out the criteria for certifying a class. He said the Supreme Court’s decision on universal injunctions will have “very little value” if district courts do not adhere to the rule.
“District courts should not view today’s decision as an invitation to certify nationwide classes without scrupulous adherence to the rigors of Rule 23,” Alito wrote. “Otherwise, the universal injunction will return from the grave under the guise of ‘nationwide class relief,’ and today’s decision will be of little more than minor academic interest.”
Alito also noted that another area for exploitation could be states that seek statewide relief from a court.

For instance, Democrat-led states have filed several lawsuits challenging Trump’s policies. A judge could grant those states statewide injunctions, meaning everyone living in the state would be exempt from the policies. Alito warned that giving third parties widespread standing in cases in that manner required careful scrutiny.
If judges are lax about these statewide lawsuits, states will have “every incentive to bring third-party suits on behalf of their residents to obtain a broader scope of equitable relief than any individual resident could procure in his own suit,” Alito wrote. “Left unchecked, the practice of reflexive state third-party standing will undermine today’s decision as a practical matter.”
BRYAN DEAN WRIGHT: John Brennan was my boss at the CIA. He belongs in prison
Former CIA Director John Brennan was once my boss. Given what we just learned in a shocking new report about his role in the Trump Russia hysteria, he should be in prison.
Here’s why.
The CIA released fresh details yesterday about the creation nearly 10 years ago of the agency’s Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) of Russia’s influence campaign in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. It found that Russian President Vladimir Putin “aspired” to help then-candidate Donald Trump win the election. That assessment – ordered by then-President Barack Obama and executed by Brennan – ignited the Trump-Russia hoax that would haunt Trump’s presidency for four years.
EX-OBAMA INTEL BOSS WANTED ANTI-TRUMP DOSSIER INCLUDED IN ‘ATYPICAL’ 2016 ASSESSMENT DESPITE PUSHBACK
We’re now learning five key details Brennan used to cook the books to ensure maximum damage to Trump.
1) Brennan lied about his use of the discredited Steele dossier
He told The Wall Street Journal in January of 2017 he never read it and gave it no particular credence.
He was lying.
As his former staffers now admit, Brennan specifically pushed for the inclusion of the dossier in the ICA despite explicit warnings from his top operational and analytical management that the dossier “didn’t meet the most basic [of] tradecraft standards.”
Brennan said he didn’t care.
As we’re now learning, he said he wanted it included because it “fit narrative consistency” — aka Trump Russia collusion — and that then-FBI Director James Comey was demanding the same.
That’s shocking, because both Comey and Brennan’s agencies had investigated its allegations in the fall of 2016 and found them not to be credible.
But both Comey and Brennan still wanted it in, simply and clearly to destroy President Trump.
2) Brennan manipulated who would write the ICA
As we’re now learning, Brennan demanded that his agency take the lead in drafting the ICA, intentionally blocking out other intel agencies and the National Intelligence Council.
As the new report confirms, that decision “depart[ed] significantly from standard procedures for formal IC assessments.”
But why would Brennan do that?
As a former CIA officer, I know why: He wanted to control the authors (his employees), their assessment, any dissent, and their careers if they crossed him.
3) Brennan interfered in the ICA’s drafting
As the new report confirms, “Direct engagement in the ICA’s development [by agency head Brennan] was highly unusual in both scope and intensity. This exceptional level of senior involvement likely influenced participants, altered normal review processes, and ultimately compromised analytic rigor.”
In other words, Brennan knew he could make or break the careers of his analysts. And so he did — ensuring that he got the exact ICA he wanted, which included the junk dossier and a single-source intel report on fabricated “Trump-Russia Collusion.”
4) Brennan rushed the completion of the ICA
As we’re now learning, CIA analysts felt “jammed” by Brennan’s timeline to produce the ICA by late December 2016 — despite the fact that “the election had concluded, and the ICA was essentially a post-mortem analysis.”
The highly compressed timeline was “atypical” for an ICA, which “ordinarily can take months to prepare, especially for assessments of such length, complexity, and political sensitivity.”
But Brennan didn’t care. He wanted this ICA done by the time Trump got into office.
5) Brennan (and Comey) spread the ICA far and wide to leak it
The new report confirms that Brennan and Comey shared the ICA with “more than 200 U.S. officials. This is unusually high for such a highly compartmented product…”
In other words, they briefed it to leak it — to destroy Trump.
In fact, that’s what The New York Times suspected, too. As they asked their readers in January of 2017, why would Brennan and Comey have briefed and shared the discredited dossier “to multiple people in Congress and the executive branch, virtually assuring it would be leaked?”

The answer: Brennan and Comey spread the ICA (and dossier) far and wide to ensure it all leaked and hobbled Donald Trump — and destroyed his presidency.
Bottom line: John Brennan, James Comey, and their fellow anti-Trumpers in the U.S. intel community intentionally tried to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump — with a tightly controlled, scripted, rushed, and poorly sourced ICA (and dossier).

In doing so, they tried to destroy not just President Trump, but also the Republic itself. And that’s why this still matters.
These men thought they knew what was best for America, and they didn’t give a damn what voters like you thought. It was their country – not yours – and they were willing to act with their profound powers to destroy a politician they didn’t like.
That’s why these men deserve to rot in prison, along with anyone in the Obama White House or Clinton campaign who colluded with them.
NYC mayoral candidate Mamdani said he wants to socialize entire housing market
Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist candidate for New York City mayor, has come under fire from critics who label him a “communist” – a charge he dismisses as a distraction.
However, the criticisms may not be as unfounded as Mamdani claims. Videos show the NYC mayoral candidate espousing language and theories rooted in communist revolutionary language.
In one 2021 video, Mamdani urges fellow socialists at a conference to not compromise on goals like “seizing the means of production.” In a second video, released on YouTube by progressive advocacy group The Gravel Institute that same year, Mamdani discusses the need to turn housing from a private commodity to a public one, calling for luxury condos to be replaced with communal style living that would include things like shared laundry facilities and food co-ops.
POLITIFACT DECLARES ZOHRAN MAMDANI IS NOT A COMMUNIST IN FACT-CHECK OF TRUMP
“Why do so many people end up homeless?” Mamdani asks in the video. “It’s not because there aren’t enough homes to go around, there are plenty of empty homes. No. It’s because housing people is not a primary goal of developers or landlords. Their goal, simply put, is to make a profit.”
According to Mamdani, this is a problem. He lamented in the video that housing is “a consumer product, just like clothes or cars” that private businesses sell on the market to make a profit. As a result, Mamdani complains, there is plenty of housing for “the rich” but not nearly enough opportunities for poor and working-class people.
“[It’s] not efficient or beneficial for the rest of society,” Mamdani says. “Housing doesn’t have to be seen as a market at all.”
FMR. OBAMA TREASURY SEC. CONCERNED ZOHRAN MAMDANI WILL HURT NEW YORK CITY IF ELECTED MAYOR
In the video, Mamdani points to post-war communist Vienna as an example of how removing privatization from the housing market can be good for society. However, he does concede that currently in Vienna, “residents still pay part of their earnings in rent to cover operational costs and a sizable chunk of the population lives in private housing.”
After describing the so-called Vienna model, during which he puts forth a vision of communal living with shared laundry, kitchens, food co-ops, bathhouses, pharmacies, lecture halls, swimming pools and more, he suggests a way forward that includes establishing “community land trusts to gradually buy up housing on the private market and convert it to community ownership.”
“If we want to end the housing crisis, the solution has to be moving toward the full de-commodification of housing,” Mamdani says. “In other words, moving away from the status quo in which most people access housing by purchasing it on the market and toward a future where we guarantee high quality housing to all as a human right.”
JONATHAN TURLEY: WHY NYC’S ZOHRAN MAMDANI LOOKS MORE AND MORE LIKE A HARDCORE MARXIST
President Donald Trump has referred to Mamdani as a “100% Communist Lunatic” and vowed to “save New York City” from Mamdani if he gets elected. He has suggested a willingness to withhold federal funds from the city if Mamdani doesn’t “behave.”
“As President of the United States, I’m not going to let this Communist Lunatic destroy New York,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social Wednesday. “Rest assured, I hold all the levers, and have all the cards. I’ll save New York City, and make it ‘Hot’ and ‘Great’ again, just like I did with the Good Ol’ USA!”

Girl fell through Disney cruise porthole as dad leapt into ocean to save her, police say
A dramatic ocean rescue ensued from the father of a 5-year-old girl who lost her balance while sitting on a railing and fell through a porthole, authorities revealed.
The rescue unfolded around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29 on Deck 4 of the Disney Dream ship while it was in international waters between the Bahamas and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Fox News Digital.
Investigators said the child was sitting on a railing near a porthole when she fell backward into the ocean.
FATHER LEAPS INTO OCEAN AFTER DAUGHTER FALLS FROM DISNEY CRUISE SHIP DECK: REPORTS
After the girl’s mother alerted her husband, who didn’t see the incident, he jumped into the ocean to save his daughter.
BSO detectives said after the 37-year-old father found his daughter, he treaded water until they were rescued by Disney Cruise Line rescue personnel on a tender that was launched from the ship.
The department said that the total time from the young girl’s accidental fall to the rescue was about 20 minutes.
Security footage from the ship corroborated the family’s account of the accident, which remains under investigation, the department said.
WATCH: PASSENGER REACTS TO RESCUE
The ship’s crew sprang into action, launching a rescue operation that BSO officials credited to their rigorous man-overboard training.
Dewayne Smith, another passenger, wrote on Facebook that “Man Over Board” rang across the loudspeaker as rescue teams sprang into action.
“Lots of praying folks on this ship! Both the little girl and dad were both successfully rescued!” he wrote.
BOAT CATCHES FIRE NEAR CAPE CANAVERAL, PASSENGERS SAVED
In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson confirmed the successful rescue: “The Crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water. We commend our Crew Members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes.”
“We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols,” they said. Fox News Digital has reached out to Disney Cruise Line for additional comment.
Once rescued, the father and daughter duo were checked by the ship’s medical staff. After the ship safely arrived Monday at Port Everglades, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported them to an area hospital.
The father was hospitalized, but details of his injuries were not released. The sheriff’s department noted that the family lives out of state, and they are not releasing their names nor where they live.

“This family is so blessed. It’s great to be able to respond to good news rather than what could have been a tragic outcome,” the sheriff’s department said.
Female cyclists furious after transgender athlete’s name missing from race roster
Veteran female cyclists are speaking out against USA Cycling after they claim the organization failed to disclose the participation of a transgender athlete in a recent race.
“It was hidden from us,” competitor Debbie Milne told “Fox & Friends” Thursday.
Milne, who placed seventh in the Lyons Masters National Championships in Wisconsin, explained she and fellow cyclists typically review the list of registered athletes ahead of a race to assess the competition. But she said neither she nor Julie Peterson, who placed in second, saw the name of a transgender competitor, Kate “KJ” Phillips, on the entry list.
“Catherine Phillips, KJ’s name, was not on that list. And I checked it up all the way to the point of closure when we couldn’t register online anymore,” said Milne.

WOMEN’S SWIMMERS SPEAK OUT AFTER UNKNOWINGLY FACING TRANS COMPETITOR, FILING COMPLAINT: ‘I FEEL BETRAYED’
Phillips went on to win first place in the race. Peterson declined to stand on her second-place podium during the awards ceremony in protest.
Milne called Peterson’s decision “difficult” but supported the choice, saying she would’ve done the same in her position.
“She’s [Peterson] a class athlete. We respect our sport,” Milne said, explaining both athletes felt disrespected by the lack of transparency from race organizers after decades devoted to the sport.
“We respect podiums. It’s really tough to do something that significant. It’s disrespect,” she said. “She [Peterson] felt that there had not been transparency.”
MAINE ROCKED BY TRANS ATHLETE DOMINANCE AT GIRLS’ TRACK MEET AMID ONGOING LEGAL CONFLICT WITH TRUMP
According to Milne, neither she nor Peterson believe the omission of Phillips’ name was accidental, referring to the incident as “deception.” She said Peterson later got confirmation Phillips had been registered since mid-June, long before the online list closed. The cyclist added that, had she known, she might have reconsidered spending hundreds of dollars and traveling over 400 miles to compete.
Milne decried a lack of fairness in USA Cycling’s transgender athlete guidelines.
USA Cycling currently permits transgender women to race in female divisions, but under certain conditions. Athletes need to submit a signed declaration affirming they identify as a female, and they need to meet criteria laid out in the group’s Elite Athlete Fairness Evaluation Process.
TRANSGENDER SWIMMER WINS 5 WOMEN’S GOLD MEDALS AT CHAMPIONSHIP MEET IN TEXAS
Writing in part on their website: “The Policy recognizes the need to ensure that everyone, irrespective of gender identity, can participate in cycling in a safe, harassment-free environment,” adding they look to ensure no participant has an “unfair and disproportionate advantage.”
Milne pointed out that unlike USA Cycling, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), considered the world governing body for cycling, has a policy that restricts transgender women from competing in female-designated events.

House Republican urges third term eligibility for Trump after bill passage
A key House ally of President Donald Trump is calling for the Republican leader to be eligible for a third White House term over passage of his “big, beautiful bill.”
Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., also called for Trump to be added to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
“I was at the White House with President Trump for several hours yesterday and spent countless hours whipping votes with Speaker Johnson for the One Big Beautiful Bill. This historic legislation will unleash our economy and usher in a new golden age for America,” Ogles told Fox News Digital after the bill passed.
“Thanks to President Trump, we’re finally reversing the damage caused by Big Government and Democrat cronies. Wins like this are exactly why he deserves serious consideration for a third term—AND why so many believe he belongs on Mt. Rushmore.”
TAX CUTS, WORK REQUIREMENTS AND ASYLUM FEES: HERE’S WHAT’S INSIDE THE SENATE’S VERSION OF TRUMP’S BILL
Ogles had previously introduced a resolution to give Trump the ability to run for a third term as president.
He was also seen at the White House in the lead-up to the last step of Congress advancing Trump’s massive tax and immigration bill. Ogles was also present on the House floor during tense negotiations on the bill, speaking to both Republican holdouts and House leaders at times.
The legislation narrowly passed on Thursday afternoon after a marathon session in the House of Representatives that began with a House Rules Committee meeting to advance it at 1:30 p.m. ET Tuesday, which ended nearly 12 hours later on Wednesday morning.
House lawmakers then met to debate the bill at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, though those proceedings were delayed for hours as House GOP leaders – and Trump himself – worked to persuade critics behind closed doors.
THOM TILLIS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM SENATE AFTER CLASH WITH TRUMP
The bill numbers more than 900 pages and advances Trump’s agenda on taxes, the border, defense, energy, and the national debt.
The bill would permanently extend the income tax brackets lowered by Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), while temporarily adding new tax deductions to eliminate duties on tipped and overtime wages up to certain caps. It also includes a new tax deduction for people aged 65 and over.
The legislation also rolls back green energy tax credits implemented under former President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which Trump and his allies have attacked as “the Green New Scam.”
The bill would also surge money toward the national defense, and to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the name of Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants in the U.S.
The bill would also raise the debt limit by $5 trillion in order to avoid a potentially economically devastating credit default sometime this summer, if the U.S. runs out of cash to pay its obligations.

New and expanded work requirements would be implemented for Medicaid and federal food assistance, respectively.
Democrats have blasted the bill as a tax giveaway to the wealthy while cutting federal benefits for working-class Americans.
But Republicans have said their tax provisions are targeted toward the working and middle classes – citing measures eliminating taxes on tipped and overtime wages – while arguing they were reforming federal welfare programs to work better for those who truly need them.
‘Reservoir Dogs’ actor found unresponsive, leaves behind unreleased work
Michael Madsen, best known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s films “Reservoir Dogs,” “Kill Bill: Vol. 2,” “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” has died. He was 67.
The actor died from cardiac arrest, his representatives told Fox News Digital. Madsen was found unresponsive in his Malibu home earlier this morning, they added.
“In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life. Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems currently being edited.
ACTOR MICHAEL MADSEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
“Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many,” his managers Susan Ferris and Ron Smith, as well as his publicist Liz Rodriguez said.
Vivica Fox, who starred alongside Madsen in “Kill Bill,” remembered the actor as an “amazing onscreen presence.”

I think it has a lot to do with the characters I’ve played. I think I’ve been more believable than I should have been. I think people really fear me. They see me and go: ‘Holy s—, there’s that guy!’”
“But I’m not that guy. I’m just an actor. I’m a father, I’ve got seven children. I’m married, I’ve been married 20 years,” he added. “When I’m not making a movie, I’m home, in pajamas, watching ‘The Rifleman’ on TV, hopefully with my 12-year-old making me a cheeseburger. Iconic fast-food chain opens latest location as it eyes comeback
Roy Rogers Restaurants is reviving its brand on the East Coast.
The company – named after the legendary actor, singer and “King of the Cowboys” – opened a location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, last week, marking the chain’s return to the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia markets since the 1990s.
“We are excited to make this long-anticipated return, and Cherry Hill allows us to serve a growing, diverse community and introduce a new generation to the quality and variety that makes Roy Rogers a cut above,” Roy Rogers Restaurants co-President Jim Plamondon said in a statement.
The company thanked Cherry Hill “for the best welcome to the community” on Instagram following its opening and hinted that there is “more to come.”
ROY ROGERS’ MERCHANDISE LAUNCH AIMS TO EXPAND THE BRAND
The Maryland-based chain was founded in 1968. In 1990, Marriott sold the Roy Rogers chain, which had nearly 650 locations, to Hardee’s for $365 million.
After the sale, Hardee’s converted a significant number of the locations to Hardee’s restaurants, and then sold more than 350 restaurants several years later to Boston Chicken, Wendy’s and McDonald’s, according to its website.
Peter Plamondon Sr., a former Marriott executive who became a franchisee of Roy Rogers Restaurants, sold his franchise to his sons, Pete Jr. and Jim, in the late 1990s.
By 2002, the brothers purchased the Roy Rogers brand from Hardee’s parent company CKE Restaurants. The duo have been credited with helping open and operate multiple Roy Rogers restaurants.
