President Donald Trump made a social media post about Hamas on Sunday evening, minutes before the deadline for a peace proposal passed.

The deadline was 6 p.m. ET Sunday. In a message on Truth Social, Trump wrote that there had been “very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East.”

“These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly,” Trump said. “The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details.”

Speaking to reporters on Sunday evening, Trump affirmed that the meetings were positive after he wrote that the first phase of the peace plan “should be completed this week.”

TRUMP’S PEACE DEAL COULD END THE WAR IN GAZA OR NETANYAHU’S CAREER

“We had some very good meetings…and it looks like it’s working,” he said. “So we’ll wait for a little while, see how it all turns out.”

However, Trump’s post warned that violence could follow if a deal was not reached.

“I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST,” Trump emphasized. “I will continue to monitor this Centuries old ‘conflict.’

Trump added, “TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!”

ISRAEL’S ARMY WILL ‘ADVANCE READINESS’ FOR FIRST PHASE OF TRUMP PLAN TO RELEASE HOSTAGES

Trump previously announced the deadline in an Oct. 3 post on Truth Social, delivering an ominous warning to Hamas about accepting the deal.

“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” Trump wrote. “THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The peace proposal was unveiled by Trump in late September.

The plan calls for an end to Israel’s military operations, the disarmament of Hamas and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip under a Palestinian governing body overseen by a U.S.-led international coalition.

Dad vows ‘they have no idea what’s coming’ after daughter slain in home

A grieving father’s anguished words in Washington have put a spotlight on a tragedy that many Americans say reflects their worst fears: a justice system that repeatedly frees dangerous repeat offenders until it’s too late.

Stephen Federico’s daughter, Logan, 22, was murdered in her sleep in May while staying overnight at a friend’s house in Columbia, South Carolina. Police say the suspect, Alexander Devonte Dickey, 30, broke into the home, shot Logan, and then went on a shopping spree with her stolen credit and debit cards.

But what has shocked and outraged many is not only the brutality of the crime, but court documents revealing Dickey’s 39 arrests, and 25 felony charges before Logan’s murder. Yet he had spent barely 600 days in jail over the past decade.

“He should have been in jail for over 140 years for all of the crimes he committed,” Federico told Fox News Digital. “He was committing 2.65 crimes a year since he was 15 years old. But nobody could figure out that he couldn’t be rehabilitated? Well, you’d have to put him in prison to see if he could be rehabilitated. Isn’t that the idea of prison?”

“There are more people … fighting for the rights of a career criminal than fighting for the right for my daughter to be safe.”

— Stephen Federico

SOUTH CAROLINA AG DEMANDS DEATH PENALTY AGAINST CAREER CRIMINAL CHARGED IN COLLEGE STUDENT’S MURDER

Stephen spoke at a Congressional hearing on Monday, held by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance, focused on the growing issue of repeat offenders being let back onto the streets. The hearing was held in response to the murder of Ukrainian commuter Iryna Zarutska onboard a train in Charlotte, which sparked widespread outrage after it was revealed that her killer was also released numerous times before the stabbing.

“Think about your child coming home from a night out with their friends, lying down going to sleep, feeling somebody come into their room and wake them. Drag them out of bed, naked, force[ed] on her knees with her hands over her head, begging for her life,” he said Monday, choking back tears.

“You will be sick and tired of my face and my voice until this gets fixed. I will fight until my last breath for my daughter.”

— Stephen Federico

The hearing turned tense when Rep. Deborah Ross, D-N.C., mistakenly referred to a photo of Logan as the Ukrainian commuter, Zarutska, prompting Stephen to correct her sharply.

“This is my daughter … Logan Federico,” he said. “How dare you not know her!”

Following the hearing, he told Fox News Digital that he hadn’t expected his congressional testimony to become so emotional.

“Honestly, it went a little different direction than I thought it was going with certain members of the committee,” he said. “I worked for days with my team developing what I really wanted to say and had some good stuff really written out. But when Ms. Ross kind of really set off a fire in me … the whole complexity of my speech went totally ad lib, to nothing but the feeling of what I had in my heart and kind of the fury I had.”

Federico said he felt dismissed when Rep. Ross confused his daughter with another victim and appeared unfamiliar with either case.

“I really felt how unimportant both Logan and Iryna were to her. I thought it was really sad. Not only did she not know who Logan was, but she didn’t do her homework, and she didn’t even know what Iryna looked like. That changed everything.”

Pushing for ‘Logan’s Law’

Now Federico says he is determined to turn his grief into action. He is calling for a federal “Logan’s Law” that would mandate communication between counties, force prosecutors to account for repeat offenders, and close loopholes that allow criminals like Dickey to slip back onto the streets.

“I’m hoping for a federal Logan’s law or Logan’s Act, combined with a lot of different things. But if you start with it federally, it goes down to the state,” he said. “Counties don’t talk. You can’t go in and arrest somebody and see that he’s got 40 crimes in two states. They only look at the crime he committed at that time. They didn’t do their homework.”

Federico said he has already received backing from South Carolina Rep. Russell Fry, who has pledged his support, and other members of Congress who offered to work with him on reforms.

FURIOUS FATHER SLAMS ‘SOFT ON CRIME’ POLICIES AFTER DAUGHTER ALLEGEDLY KILLED BY REPEAT OFFENDER IN SC

On Tuesday, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson sent a letter to Fifth Circuit Solicitor Byron Gipson urging him to pursue capital punishment against Dickey.

Wilson argued the case carries “clear statutory aggravating factors,” including that the murder occurred during a burglary, and cited Dickey’s criminal record spanning more than a decade.

“His past history, as well as his current violent crime charges show an appropriate candidate for the ultimate punishment,” Wilson wrote in the Sept. 30 letter.

Wilson also announced that his office has assigned Melody Brown, a senior attorney in the Attorney General’s Capital & Collateral Litigation Section, to the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office to conduct a comprehensive review of the case.

The attorney general gave Gipson until Oct. 10 to declare his intentions, warning that if the solicitor was “unable to proceed,” the attorney general’s office was prepared to take over. Gipson fired back in an Oct. 1 response, calling Wilson’s deadline “reckless, irresponsible and unethical.”

“To make such a determination a mere four months into the case, without investing the due diligence necessary to conduct a thorough analysis of all facets of the evidence, would set a dangerous precedent,” Gipson wrote.

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., pushed back on Friday, writing on X: “Here’s the deal: the state’s top law enforcement officer and chief prosecutor CANNOT politicize a case. And by doing so, Alan Wilson forfeits the state’s right to pursue the death penalty in Logan Federico’s case because of prejudice. That’s what he’s done. It’s unforgivable.”

“Logan and her family deserve justice,” she said.

Mace wrote a letter on Friday to Attorney General Pam Bondi and U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina Bryan Stirling asking for the Department of Justice to intervene and take over Federico’s case.

Fox News Digital reached out to Mace’s office and the Department of Justice for comment.

Building a movement of grieving families

Federico emphasized that his family is not alone, and he plans to organize other families into a coalition demanding change.

“There are so many of us. There are so many parents hurting right now that we’re going to form a band, and we’re going to fight. Because we have to.”

GRIEVING DAD SLAMS LAWMAKERS FOR CRIME POLICIES THAT FREED DAUGHTER’S SUSPECTED CAREER CRIMINAL KILLER

He admitted that part of his drive comes from a sense of personal guilt.

“Nothing will change the fact that I think I failed her,” Federico said. “But I think what I’m doing now is helping … maybe Logan will forgive me.”

‘They have no idea what’s coming’

Logan, who stood just 5’3″ and weighed 115 pounds, was shot and killed in the off-campus housing near the University of South Carolina campus. Stephen pointed blame at a justice system that, in his eyes, failed his daughter and many others. For Federico, the fight is only beginning. He says his daughter’s death has awakened him to a mission larger than his own family’s grief.

Greta Thunberg’s alleged claims that she sat for hours on hard surfaces in a bedbug-infested Israeli jail while denied adequate food and water have been blasted by Israel’s Foreign Ministry as “brazen lies.”

According to correspondence from the Swedish Foreign Ministry, seen by The Guardian, Thunberg told officials she developed rashes possibly caused by bedbugs.

The activist was also said to have complained of dehydration.

A letter shared with Thunberg’s parents also reportedly said she described “harsh and exhausting” treatment after she was detained by Israeli forces during her Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla aid expedition.

GRETA THUNBERG’S FLOTILLA BOMBARDED WITH ABBA MUSIC AFTER RADIOS HIJACKED: REPORT

In a statement shared Sunday on X, an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson said all detainees’ “legal rights were fully upheld.”

They insisted that Thunberg “did not complain to Israeli authorities about any of these ludicrous and baseless allegations because they never occurred.”

The Israeli Foreign Ministry also called the reports “brazen lies” and emphasized that detainees had access to food, water, legal counsel and medical care.

Court documents from an Oct. 5 hearing before Israel’s Population and Migration Tribunal appear to support the official account, per local media reports, showing she requested deportation to Sweden but made no formal complaint of mistreatment while in custody.

In another post on X, the ministry shared that one Spanish detainee from Thunberg’s Flotilla allegedly bit a female medical staff member at Ketziot Prison.

GRETA THUNBERG FLOTILLA WON’T BE UNLOADING ANYTHING ON GAZA’S BEACHES, WARNS EXPERT

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir described the flotilla participants as “supporters of terrorism,” saying he was “proud they experienced the same conditions as terrorist detainees.”

Thunberg, 22, was among roughly 450 activists from more than a dozen countries detained after the Israeli navy intercepted the 42-boat Global Sumud Flotilla on October 1.

The convoy, which departed from Turkey a day earlier, sought to breach Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza and deliver symbolic humanitarian aid.

At a ceremony marking the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary, President Donald Trump sought to reassure service members affected by the ongoing government shutdown, pledging they would receive “every last penny” of their pay and promising an “across-the-board” raise once the impasse ends.

“I want you to know that despite the current Democrat-induced shutdown, we will get our servicemembers every last penny,” Trump said. “Don’t worry about it, it’s all coming,” he added.

TRUMP SAYS GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN LAYOFFS ARE ‘UP TO’ DEMS AS STANDOFF CONTINUES

While active-duty troops continue to report for duty, their paychecks are frozen until funding is restored. Non-essential civilian War Department employees, including thousands who support base operations and logistics, have been furloughed.

Meanwhile, military support programs — including child care centers, on-base commissaries, and other family services — have been scaled back at several installations, forcing families to shoulder unexpected costs.

During a Sept. 30 speech at Quantico, before the nation’s top generals, Trump said he was backing a 3.8% pay raise for every servicemember. “Something you weren’t getting from the past administration,” Trump added.

SHUTDOWN EXPLAINED: WHO WORKS, WHO DOESN’T AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS

The federal government shut down at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday, halting pay for U.S. service members and hundreds of thousands of other federal employees.

The shutdown, now stretching into its fifth full day, has left military families facing financial uncertainty, even as Trump assured troops that back pay and additional raises would be forthcoming once Congress approves a new spending bill.

The Trump administration has placed the blame squarely on Democrats for the government shutdown, which is expected to trigger sweeping layoffs across the federal workforce.

Before departing for Norfolk, Trump accused Democrats in a Truth Social post Friday evening of enabling the shutdown and attempting “to destroy this wonderful celebration of the U.S. Navy’s Birthday.”

“I believe, ‘THE SHOW MUST GO ON!’” Trump wrote.

A massive and sudden blizzard on Mount Everest’s Tibetan slopes trapped nearly 1,000 hikers in remote camps during China’s National Day holiday weekend, according to state media reports.

Reuters and Jimu news reported Sunday that at least 350 people have so far reached safety, while contact has been made with several hundred others still stranded in the snowbound region.

The storm struck Friday, dumping heavy snow and rain across the Himalayas, reports said.

The worst conditions came near the eastern Kangshung face of Everest, in Tibet’s Karma Valley, where elevations average over 13,779 ft.

The snowfall continued into Saturday, blocking roads and trails and cutting off access to several routes popular during China’s eight-day National Day holiday.

China Central Television (CCTV) also said the several hundred rescued trekkers were brought to Qudang township under the guidance of local rescue teams.

Hundreds more are expected to reach the area in stages as villagers and emergency workers clear deep snow from mountain passes.

Jimu news, a state-backed outlet, estimated that nearly 1,000 people, including hikers, guides and local support staff, had been trapped when the blizzard struck.

Rescue efforts have involved hundreds of local villagers and members of Tibet’s Blue Sky Rescue Team, who reported receiving distress calls about collapsed tents and cases of hypothermia.

“It was so wet and cold in the mountains, and hypothermia was a real risk,” one trekker, Chen Geshuang, who was part of an 18-strong trekking team who made it to Qudang, told Reuters.

“The weather this year is not normal. The guide said he had never encountered such weather in October. And it happened all too suddenly,” Chen said.

The Tibetan regional government is said to have organized coordinated search and rescue operations, sending heavy machinery to reopen snow-blocked roads leading to the affected campsites.

Authorities suspended ticket sales and closed entry to the Everest Scenic Area on Saturday evening, according to the Tingri County Tourism Company’s official WeChat account.

It remains unclear whether trekkers on the north face of Everest, also located in Tibet but more easily accessible by road, were impacted by the same weather system.

Amy Schumer is showing off her impressive weight-loss.

On Saturday, the 44-year-old comedian took to social media to share a photo of her dramatic transformation. Schumer, who was wearing a tiny black dress and heels, was accompanied by two friends as the threesome enjoyed the Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas.

Friends and fans were quick to share their thoughts, praising the actress for her progress.

“Okay Amyyyyyy🔥” comedian Anjelah Johnson commented.

AMY SCHUMER SHARES SCARY SIDE EFFECT FROM OZEMPIC THAT LEFT HER BEDRIDDEN

“Ok legs for days!!🔥🔥❤️” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Margaret Josephs added.

“Those legs ❤️❤️❤️” Isla Fisher wrote.

During an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” earlier this year, the comedian opened up about her scary experience trying medication for weight-loss purposes.

“I have this gene – GDF15 – which makes you extremely prone to nausea which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden, I was vomiting and then you have no energy but other people take it and they’re all good,” she explained.

“I lost 30 pounds so quick,” said Schumer, who is mom to 4-year-old son, Gene, whom she shares with husband, Chris Fischer. “I looked great and I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point?”

Ozempic, which is a semaglutide injection, was originally approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, but the medication has increasingly been prescribed off label for weight loss, along with several other similar medications.

The actress has been open about her Ozempic use before and once blasted celebrities for saying they lost weight by simply eating “smaller portions” and “lying” about using the injectable drug.

“Like, shut the f— up!” she said during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live!” in 2023. “You are on Ozempic or one of those things or you got work done. Just stop.”

“Like, a year ago, I tried it,” she said. “It’s like, you know, you try it.  And I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son. I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me and [I couldn’t].”

“And you’re like, ‘OK, this isn’t livable for me,'” she added.

In March, Schumer praised the effects of Mounjaro (also known as tirzepatide) in a video clip shared on Instagram with her nearly 13 million followers.

“I wanted to share and keep it 100 with you, that years ago – and yes, this is completely unsafe to be driving and making a video – years ago, three years ago, I tried Wegovy and I was like puking,” Schumer said in the clip captured while she was behind the wheel.

“I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula or whatever… but anyway, I went on this telehealth meeting with MidiHealth, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself, cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are like nurses and teachers.”

“When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” Urban, 57, sang onstage — replacing the original line, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.”
