California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter went viral Tuesday evening after a clip from a recent interview spread across social media showing her repeatedly lashing out at a reporter and trying to end the interview.

“What do you say to the 40% of CA voters who you’ll need in order to win, who voted for Trump?” Porter was asked by CBS California’s Julie Watts during a segment on the controversial redistricting effort launched by Democrats in the state.

“How would I need them in order to win, ma’am?” Porter, considered by many to be the frontrunner in the race, responded.

“Well, unless you think you’re going to get 60% of the vote,” the reporter, asking about the voter breakdown of Democrats and Republicans in the state, said before Porter started laughing.

Porter then went back and forth with the reporter, arguing about whether she needs to court and win over Trump voters, particularly if she’s running head-to-head against another Democrat.

“So you don’t need them to win,” Watts asked Porter.

“I feel like this is unnecessarily argumentative,” Porter said, prompting the reporter to point out that she had asked the same question to the other candidates in the race and they answered it.

NEWSOM JUST MADE A CATASTROPHIC MISTAKE ON CALIFORNIA’S HOMELESSNESS DISASTER

“I don’t want to keep doing this, I’m going to call it,” Porter said.

“You’re not going to do the interview?” Watts said as Porter tried to remove her microphone.

“Nope, not like this I’m not, not with seven follow-ups to every single question you ask,” Porter responded.

When Watts reminded Porter that every candidate had answered the question, Porter said, “I don’t care.”

Porter told Watts after being pressed even more that she doesn’t “want to have an unhappy experience with you” and that she doesn’t “want this all on camera.”

The clip quickly went viral on social media, with conservatives blasting Porter for struggling with follow-up questions.

“This Katie Porter crashout is INCREDIBLE,” Republican communicator Matt Whitlock posted on X.

“What a mean, spoiled brat Katie Porter is to a journalist asking a very normal/straight forward question,” conservative commentator Meghan McCain posted on X. “The rumors in DC were always she’s an absolute nightmare – and as usual, people always reveal themselves.”

“Democrats in California aren’t challenged by the media very often,” Trump administration special envoy Richard Grenell posted on X. “@katieporteroc implodes when asked a follow up question. She isn’t ready to be Governor. She’s downright embarrassing.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Porter’s campaign for comment.

Watts addressed the heated moment in a post on X saying, “Since this 3min excerpt of 30min segment went viral, we decided to post it ourselves. But I’d encourage you to watch the full segment.”

Washington, D.C., police say they arrested a New Jersey man with hundreds of homemade explosives and a manifesto containing “significant animosity” toward Catholics, Jews, the U.S. Supreme Court and Immigration and Customs Enforcement outside a cathedral hours before it was supposed to host an annual event that some justices were expected to attend.

A Metropolitan Police Department officer found Louis D. Geri, 41, camped out in a green tent in front of the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, D.C. around 5 a.m. on Sunday.

Police were securing the area ahead of the event, called Red Mass, and they asked Geri to move his tent, according to an affidavit.

“You might want to stay back and call the federales,” Geri is alleged to have told an officer, according to the document filed in Washington’s criminal court. “I have explosives…”

The officer requested assistance from the MPD bomb squad. A member of it, identified as Sgt. Wishnick in court documents, approached Geri from outside his tent.

“Do you want me to throw one out?” he allegedly told her, according to the affidavit. “I’ll test one out in the street. I have a hundred plus of them.”

He told her to step back.

Read the affidavit:

“No one will get hurt,” he allegedly continued. “There will be a hole in the street. If you just step back, I’ll take out that tree.”

But his tune allegedly changed once police told him he would be forcibly removed from the scene.

“Several of your people are gonna…die from one of these,” he replied, according to the affidavit.

DC POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOR ALLEGED EXPLOSIVE OUTSIDE ANNUAL RED MASS

Sgt. Wishnick convinced him to open the tent, where she allegedly saw him with a butane lighter “clenched” in one hand along with an “unknown white cap-shaped object,” the filing continues.

He allegedly handed her nine pages titled, “Written Negotiations for the Avoidance of Destruction of Property via Detonation of Explosives.”

“You better have these people step away or there’s going to be deaths,” Geri allegedly told her.

Sgt. Wishnick notified other officers in the area as well as MPD command staff, according to the affidavit. The church’s business manager also provided police with a written notice that Geri had previously been barred from the property on Sept. 26.

Geri allegedly got up, walked over to a tree and “appeared to be urinating,” according to the affidavit. Police handcuffed and arrested him there.

The bomb squad allegedly recovered a white-capped vial filled with a yellow liquid and a lighter from his pocket.

When they searched the tent, they found “a large cache of handmade destructive devices,” according to the affidavit, along with writings that allegedly “revealed his significant animosity toward the Catholic church, members of the Jewish faith, members of [the Supreme Court] and [Immigration and Customs Enforcement.]”

Six of the current Supreme Court justices are Catholic, and two are Jewish. The court also has a 6-3 conservative majority.

The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle is the Mother Church of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and traces its roots back to another church building erected in 1840. The current structure was completed in the early 1900s and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The cathedral hosted the funeral of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

Last year, it hosted a funeral Mass for his sister-in-law, Ethel Kennedy, which was attended by a host of dignitaries including Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

St. Mother Teresa visited it in the 1970s and, on different occasions, so did Popes John Paul II and Francis.

The church’s Red Mass is an annual event held before the start of each year’s Supreme Court term.

Geri’s prior criminal record includes a conviction for indecent exposure in Arizona in 2021, for which he served a year in prison.

A Washington judge ordered him without bond on charges that include the alleged hate crime manufacture of a weapon of mass destruction, making threats and unlawful entry. He’s due back in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday.

One day after asking the world to pray for her sister as she continues to fight various health-related issues, Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, is clearing the air.

Hours after her initial post, Freida took to social media to offer a small update on the country icon’s health.

“I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly,” she wrote on Facebook. “She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.”

Earlier that day, Freida wrote that she had been “up all night” praying for Dolly.

“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,” Freida wrote in a Facebook post. “Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.”

Freida added that she truly believes in the “power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

On Sept. 28, the “Jolene” singer told fans she would need to postpone the concerts for her Las Vegas residency in a social media post.

Harris takes apparent shot at Trump in fiery outburst: ‘These mother—– are crazy’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris took an apparent shot at the Trump administration during her latest public appearance while promoting her new book, remarking from a stage in Los Angeles that “these mother—-ers are crazy.”

“There’s so much about this moment that is making people feel like they’ve lost their minds. When, in fact, these mother—-ers are crazy,” Harris said Monday during an event in Los Angeles called “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation.”

The comment, which did not identify the Trump administration directly, earned applause from attendees, according to footage of the clip

“I call this, ‘The Freedom Tour,'” she added, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

KAMALA HARRIS OFFICE SILENT WHEN QUESTIONED IF FACT-CHECKER REVIEWED NEW BOOK BEFORE PUBLICATION

Harris remarks came as she explained she wrote her most recent memoir, “107 Days,” so history would directly hear her retelling of the unprecedented 2024 election, according to clips of the event spreading like wildfire on social media

“One of the other reasons I wrote it is history is going to write about this. And it was important to me that that be told with my voice being present,” she said. “And I would say that that everyone, we are living history right now. And you all as storytellers are living this. You’re not passive observers. You know that. You’re living it.”

“And I’m gonna ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling, give those emotions, give that experience to those people that you are writing about and writing for. It gets back to my point about helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstance,” she continued before dropping the line that leaders of the current political climate are “crazy.”

“A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” is a one-day invitation-only event hosted in Los Angeles that previously featured speakers such as former first lady Jill Biden and singer Kesha, according to its website. The series aims to “equip creators of culture — television writers, artists, producers, executives, and digital storytellers — for the year ahead,” according to its website.

When asked about Harris’ remarks, White House spokesman Kush Desai took aim at the former vice president’s laugh.

“Kamala Harris should listen to an audio recording of her cackle of a laugh before calling anyone crazy,” Desai said.

KAMALA HARRIS PLAYS UP COZY RELATIONSHIP WITH HILLARY CLINTON AS WEDGE WITH BIDEN WIDENS

Harris’ appearance, which was not listed on her official book tour agenda, also included lamenting election night 2024, when she reported she felt levels of grief that could only be compared to how she felt following her mother’s death.

“I couldn’t articulate anything else — I kept saying over and over again, ‘My God, my God,’ she said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “I had never felt that level of pain and grief except that when my mother died, and it was grieving for the country. I knew what was going to happen.”

Harris is on a public event blitz since the release of “107 Days” in September, kicking off her book tour in New York City before making stops across the nation to promote the new political memoir that walks readers from former President Joe Biden’s attempted 2024 run through her picking up the mantle in an effort to defeat President Donald Trump at the ballot boxes.

The former vice president’s book tour has included repeated claims that the most recent presidential election was the “closest” this century, claiming at a book tour stop in Houston Saturday that Trump doesn’t have a “mandate.”

KAMALA HARRIS BREAKS SILENCE ON BIDEN DROPOUT, ADMITS SHE HAS REGRETS ABOUT HER HANDLING OF SITUATION

“Here’s the other thing that is quite unprecedented — and, it was the tightest, closest presidential election in the 21st Century. He does not have a mandate! That is not a mandate! That is not a mandate!'” she said during that event.

Harris lost both the Electoral College and popular vote to Trump during the 2024 election in a defeat that also included each of the seven battleground states voting in favor of Trump. Harris ended the campaign with 75,019,617 total votes to Trump’s 77,304,184 votes, and 226 electoral votes to Trump’s 312.

The data, however, has not stopped Harris from repeatedly claiming it was the “closest” election in the 21st century.

“By the way, what is also historic about that, in many ways — it was the closest election for president of the United States in the 21st Century,” she said in September 2024 from Howard University’s campus in Washington.

Former FBI chief pleads not guilty after explosive grand jury investigation

Former FBI Director James Comey pleaded not guilty to charges of allegedly making false statements and obstruction of a congressional hearing during his first court appearance in Virginia on Wednesday.

The former FBI director appeared at 10 a.m. ET in the Albert V. Bryan United States Courthouse in Alexandria, Va. Comey’s wife, Patrice, and daughter, Maureen, were spotted waiting in line outside the courthouse Wednesday morning.

District Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, presided over the hearing. Comey’s lawyer, Patrick Fitzgerald, told Nachmanoff that representing Comey “is the honor of my life” and that his team would be filing motions alleging a vindictive and retaliatory prosecution, grand jury abuse and outrageous government conduct.

“President Trump has been a constant critic,” Fitzgerald said.

Nachmanoff set oral argument dates for Nov. 19 and Dec. 9 and a jury trial to begin on Jan. 5, 2026.

COMEY INDICTED FOR ALLEGED FALSE STATEMENTS, OBSTRUCTION OF CONGRESSIONAL PROCEEDING

The only time Comey spoke during the hearing was when the judge asked if he understood the charges against him.

“I do your honor,” Comey said. “Thank you very much.”

Fitzgerald also said they would be bringing a motion alleging that Lindsey Halligan was unlawfully appointed as U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia. Nachmanoff said a separate judge would have to preside over any motion alleging an unlawful appointment of Halligan.

The government did not ask for Comey to be detained, and Nachmanoff released him on his own recognizance pending further court appearances.

Comey was indicted in September by a federal grand jury on two counts: alleged false statements within jurisdiction of the legislative branch and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

The indictment alleges that Comey obstructed a congressional investigation into the disclosure of sensitive information in violation of 18 USC 1505.

The indictment also alleges Comey made a false statement when he stated he did not authorize someone at the FBI to be an anonymous source. According to the indictment, that statement was false.

Fox News Digital exclusively reported in July that Comey was under criminal investigation by the FBI. The probe into Comey centered on whether he lied to Congress during his Sept. 30, 2020, testimony about his handling of the original Trump–Russia probe at the FBI, known inside the bureau as “Crossfire Hurricane.”

“No one is above the law,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said on X after the indictment, adding that it “reflects this Department of Justice’s commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable for misleading the American people. We will follow the facts in this case.”

COMEY DENIES CHARGES, DECLARES ‘I AM NOT AFRAID’

FBI Director Kash Patel said “previous corrupt leadership and their enablers weaponized federal law enforcement, damaging once proud institutions and severely eroding public trust.”

“Every day, we continue the fight to earn that trust back, and under my leadership, this FBI will confront the problem head-on,” Patel said. “Nowhere was this politicization of law enforcement more blatant than during the Russiagate hoax, a disgraceful chapter in history we continue to investigate and expose.”

He added: “Everyone, especially those in positions of power, will be held to account – no matter their perch.”

Comey, after being indicted, posted an Instagram video, denying the allegations.

“My family and I have known for years that there are costs to standing up to Donald Trump, but we couldn’t imagine ourselves living any other way,” he said. “We will not live on our knees, and you shouldn’t either. Somebody that I love dearly recently said that fear is the tool of a tyrant, and she’s right.”

“But I’m not afraid,” Comey added.

“My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system and I am innocent, so let’s have a trial and keep the faith,” Comey said.

Fox News Digital also exclusively reported that former CIA Director John Brennan is under criminal investigation related to the Trump–Russia probe.

Under federal law, prosecutors have five years to bring a charge, with the five-year mark occurring Tuesday.

TRUMP SAYS COMEY ‘PLACED A CLOUD OVER THE ENTIRE NATION’ WITH CROSSFIRE HURRICANE, REACTS TO INDICTMENT

The case is being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.

The FBI opened its Trump-Russia probe in July 2016, known inside the bureau as “Crossfire Hurricane.”

President Donald Trump, during his first term, fired Comey in May 2017.

Days later, Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel to take over the FBI’s original “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation.

After nearly two years, former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, which concluded in March 2019, yielded no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election.

Shortly after, John Durham was appointed as special counsel to investigate the origins of the “Crossfire Hurricane” probe.

EXCLUSIVE: FBI LAUNCHES CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS OF JOHN BRENNAN, JAMES COMEY: DOJ SOURCES

Durham found that the FBI “failed to act” on a “clear warning sign” that the bureau was the “target” of a Clinton-led effort to “manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes” ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

“The aforementioned facts reflect a rather startling and inexplicable failure to adequately consider and incorporate the Clinton Plan intelligence into the FBI’s investigative decision-making in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation,” Durham’s report states.

“Indeed, had the FBI opened the Crossfire Hurricane investigation as an assessment and, in turn, gathered and analyzed data in concert with the information from the Clinton Plan intelligence, it is likely that the information received would have been examined, at a minimum, with a more critical eye,” the report continued.

Durham, in his report, said the FBI “failed to act on what should have been — when combined with other incontrovertible facts — a clear warning sign that the FBI might then be the target of an effort to manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes during the 2016 presidential election.”

Joan Kennedy, the former wife of Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy, died at the age of 89 on Wednesday.

Her son, Patrick Kennedy, and his wife, Amy, confirmed Joan’s death in a statement. Joan’s marriage to the Lion of the Senate was fraught with scandal and public scrutiny thanks to her husband’s infidelity and lifestyle. She divorced Kennedy in 1983.

“Mrs. Kennedy was a classically trained pianist, an advocate for mental health and addiction recovery, and a quiet pioneer in publicly addressing challenges with alcoholism and depression at a time when few others would,” the couple said.

“Her courage and candor helped break stigma and inspired others to seek help and healing. Her impact on the arts, mental health advocacy, her beloved Boston community, and the nation will be remembered by many,” the statement added.

Joan Kennedy had three children with her husband, and she stood by him through arguably the most severe scandal of his career, the Chappaquiddick accident. In 1969, he plunged his car off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, killing his young female passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne.

Kennedy was able to swim to safety, however, and waited hours before contacting police. He later pleaded guilty to charges of fleeing the scene of a crash.

Joan’s estrangement from her husband was nearly impossible to hide by the time of his unsuccessful effort to defeat President Jimmy Carter in the 1980 Democratic primaries. They had been separated by then, and would divorce three years later. One bumper sticker from the campaign read “Vote for Jimmy Carter, Free Joan Kennedy.”

Kristin Davis admits to treating ‘Blue Bloods’ star poorly during filming

Kristin Davis apologized to Bridget Moynahan for her “mean girl” behavior when they co-starred in the original “Sex and the City” series.

Davis, 60, played Charlotte York, one of the show’s four main characters alongside Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) throughout the original series’ six-season run from 1998 to 2004. Moynahan portrayed Natasha Naginsky, the younger fiancée and later wife of Carrie’s love interest, Mr. Big (Chris Noth), in the show’s second and third seasons from 1999 to 2001.

On Monday, Moynahan made an appearance on Davis’ “Are You A Charlotte?” podcast during which the two discussed their time on “Sex and the City.” While reminiscing about Moynahan’s debut episode, Davis admitted that she gave the other actress the cold shoulder on set.

KRISTIN DAVIS REVEALS ‘MELROSE PLACE’ CO-STAR WOULDN’T SPEAK TO HER ON SET DURING FILMING

“Normally, what I would do for guest star people—which were usually men—I would go and try to proactively be friendly because it is such a scary situation,” Davis said.

However, Davis explained that since she had “internalized Charlotte’s worldview” toward the love rival of her character’s best friend Carrie, it affected how she behaved toward Moynahan off-camera.

“Because you were like the nemesis, I don’t think I was that nice to you,” Davis told Moynahan. “I feel really bad about that, Bridget.”

Moynahan quickly reassured Davis that she didn’t hold her former co-star’s past behavior against her.

“Oh, it’s OK now,” the “Blue Bloods” star said with a laugh.

“But I feel bad because we were all young-ish, you know what I mean? And you were new, and I just feel bad,” Davis said.

“Don’t worry!” Moynahan assured her.

Moynahan recalled that, at the time, she was confused when Davis would be friendly to her during their off-camera encounters after they stopped working together.

“We would run into each other at the gym all the time,” Moynahan said, adding that she remembered wondering why Davis was “being so nice to her.”

“By then, we weren’t in our characters anymore, and I could just be a normal person,” Davis said. “But I have always felt really guilty about it because I didn’t even really realize how much I had internalized Charlotte’s worldview. You know what I’m saying? Like, I was more forgiving of things.”

“And I was less forgiving if you were somebody that I felt like was threatening my friend,” she continued. “And it’s so silly really, and I feel bad.”

Moynahan first appeared as Natasha in the show’s second season when she is introduced as Mr. Big’s younger, new fiancée. At the time, Carrie, who had recently broken up with Big and still loves him, is shocked and hurt that he moved on so quickly. By the beginning of Season 3, Natasha and Big have married. However, Big and Carrie later rekindle their relationship despite his marriage. Natasha discovers the affair and she and Big divorce soon after.

In 2021, Moynahan reprised her role as Natasha in the “Sex and the City” revival series “And Just Like That…” After Big’s death, Carrie discovers that he left Natasha $1 million and seeks her out to understand why. The two have a conversation after running into each other and both find closure.

During her podcast appearance, Moynahan recalled that they had “such a nice reunion” when she returned to the show as a guest star.

“Getting to play the same characters, but yet having that growth within the characters, even though we’re still kind of supporting Carrie and her insane ideas of that episode,” Davis said. “But that’s also what I love. Like Carrie is a flawed character, as all of us were flawed.”

Moynahan also reflected on how she sometimes felt vilified by fans because Natasha’s role made her the obstacle between Carrie and Big.

Gold prices hit historic high in record-breaking rally

Gold prices surpassed $4,000 for the first time on Tuesday as the record-breaking rally that has seen market prices for the precious metal surge over the last year continues to chug along.

Long considered a safe haven asset to hedge against economic uncertainty, gold has risen as investors deal with concerns about the U.S. economy due to the impact of tariffs on inflation, as well as signs of a weakening labor market and expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut.

An investor who bought a 1-ounce gold bar at Costco a year ago would have paid $2,621, and that investment would be worth $4,041 as of Wednesday. That amounts to a one-year gain of about 54%, or $1,420 in dollar terms.

Gold futures closed at $4,004.40 per ounce on Tuesday.
