General Situation
An anticyclone aloft brought mainly fine weather to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea today. Besides, a southerly airstream affected the region. Locally, it was mainly fine. There was coastal mist at first. It was hot during the day. Temperatures over most parts of the territory rose to about 31 degrees in the afternoon. Under the influence of a southerly airstream, the weather is expected to be hot during the day with a few showers over the coastal areas of southern China in the next few days. A trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to southern China in the latter part of this week.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with one or two showers. Coastal mist in the morning with a minimum temperature of about 26 degrees. Hot with sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas. Very hot over parts of the New Territories with temperatures a couple of degrees higher. Moderate southerly winds.
Hot during the day with a few showers in the following couple of days. More showers gradually on Sunday and early next week.
